Scientific evidence led to arrest of two burglars

  • 7 cases of day burglaries solved.
         With the arrest of two burglars namely Dilip Kumar, age 22 years s/o Suresh Kumar r/o C-152, Sangam Vihar, Delhi and Ranjeet Soni, age 28 years s/o Shiv Soni r/o G-33, Sangam Vihar, Delhi, the police team of PS Malviya Nagar, South District has solved 7 cases of day burglary reported at PS Malviya Nagar.

Brief facts :
An incident of day burglary reported at the house of Sh. Raj Gupta r/o H-8/14, 2nd Floor, Malviya Nagar, Delhi on 19.05.16 wherein the burglars after breaking open the locks had stolen cash, gold jewelry and clothes.  The local police reached the spot immediately and also called the District Crime Team at the spot and after detailed inspection of the scene of crime, chance prints were lifted. A case vide FIR No. 505/16 dated 19.05.16 u/s 380/454 IPC was registered at PS Malviya Nagar and investigation taken up.
Investigation : During analysis of finger print data, one chance print developed from the scene of crime matched with the finger print of one Dilip Kumar r/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi who was earlier arrested in case FIR No. 114/14 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Neb Sarai. A police team consisting of ASI Ved Parkash, Ct. Anil, Ct. Dharambir led by Inspr. Ram Singh, SHO/Malviya Nagar under the supervision of Sh. Rajender Pathaniya, ACP/Hauz Khas was formed to arrest the accused persons.  During investigation, the police team came to know that accused Dalip Kumar has shifted somewhere else.  The police team continued its efforts, deployed sources to get clues about accused Dalip and checked the bail/surety bond of the accused from the trial court.   The hard work of police team yielded result and on receipt of specific input about the movement of accused Dalip in Sangam Vihar on 04.08.16, the police team arrested him.

Interrogation : During interrogation, accused Dalip Kumar confessed to have committed many incidents of day burglary in Malviya Nagar area along with his associate cum friend Ranjeet Soni.  At the instance of accused Dilip Kumar, co-accused Ranjeet Soni, age 28 years s/o Shiv Soni r/o G-33, Sangam Vihar, Delhi was also arrested.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
