GANG OF CAR JACKERS BUSTED WITH THE ARREST OF THREE

 3 CASES OF CARJACKING AND VEHICLE THEFT WORKED OUT.

With the arrest of three persons (i) Joravar @ Monu @ Monu Ganja (21 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Kashyap r/o A-37, Shyam Colony, Budh Vihar-2, Delhi, (ii)  Avnender @ Labbu (23 yrs) s/o Bijender r/o A-635, Shyam Colony, Budh Vihar-2, Delhi and (iii) Santosh @ Bangali (25 yrs) s/o Rohit Chander Das r/o Kalu Colony, Phase-II, Budh Vihar, Delhi (Permanent Address: - Vill. Parsaghat, Raniganj, Aria, Bihar), Crime Branch has busted a gang of desperate carjackers and 3 cases of car-jacking and vehicle theft have been worked out.
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION: ­-
In view of sudden spurt in cases of carjacking and MV theft in the area of North-West & Outer Districts, a team of officers of Special Team led by ACP Jitender Singh and comprising of Inspr. Puran Pant, SIs Ajit Singh, Sanjay Kumar, ASIs Surender, Shayam Lal, Bahadur Sharma, HCs Parveen, Satish, Narender, Bijender, Virender Kumar, Anil, Cts Raman, Sonu, Anil, Parminder and Rajiv Raghav was constituted under the close supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh to make all possible efforts to establish the identity of culprits involved, to establish their hideouts and to apprehend them.
The team so constituted, while working on such criminals, collected information on certain active groups and started tracking their movements. For apprehension of gang members, suspected hideouts in Delhi & Haryana were raided and in some of the occasions they narrowly escaped.
On 27.07.16, at about 05.15 PM, a specific information was received to the team that the gang members of newly created group of carjackers/MV thieves would gather near Ganda Nala Pul, Purani Police Chowki, Budh Vihar, Delhi to make their plan to further commit car-jacking.
On this information, the team immediately swung into action and without wasting any time, laid a trap near the place of information. At about 06:45 PM, 3 boys on a scooty reached at the place of information and started discussions and were waiting for their other accomplices. All the three were apprehended alongwith the scooty. The scooty bearing registration No.DL4S-CC-6868 was found to be stolen vide e-FIR No. 21946/16 dated 26.07.16 u/s 379 IPC, PS Crime Branch (PS Vijay Vihar), Delhi. Accordingly all 3 were arrested u/s 41.1 (d) Cr.P.C.
On sustained interrogation, all three disclosed that since last many days, they alongwith their accomplice Gaurav were making plans to rob or steal a vehicle and to further use the same to loot a truck filled with goods. They used to commit crimes to earn money for pleasing their girlfriends.
On the intervening night of 25-26/07/2016, at first, they stole a motorcycle and thereafter a scooty to proceed further to loot a truck at a highway. But as they found it very risky to commit a loot with two wheelers, they hid the two wheelers and stole a Maruti 800 car and proceeded to search for a target to commit loot. They were armed with knives and country made pistols. However, considering the slow pick-up of Maruti 800, they changed their plan and decided to rob an SUV first and then proceed to commit loot.
Accordingly, they started roaming around in Rohini area for search of a target. When they found a person sitting inside Skoda car at road side near DC Chowk, Prashant Vihar, Delhi, they robbed the Skoda vehicle at gun point. With this Skoda, they proceeded to Kharkhoda-Rohtak highway to loot a truck. However, as they were passing through Pipli, Haryana, a police vehicle started chasing them. Sensing trouble, they accelerated the vehicle and hit a police vehicle which was trying to intercept them. They managed to escape after leaving the Skoda at the spot.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
