ARREST OF REWAREDED AND WANTED CRIMINAL NAMELY AMIT

A notorious criminal namely Amit kumar s/o Kalyan Singh R/o F-2/65, Sunder Nagari, Nand Nagari, Delhi, wanted in several cases of Murder, Attempt to Murder, Snatching, Auto Theft, Robbery and Arms Act, has been arrested by the team of AATS/East District Delhi. He is also a rewarded criminal carrying a reward of Rs. 1,00,000/- on his head
Information and Team:- On 06.08.2016, SI Rajinder Kumar No.D/2207 received a secret information that rewarded criminal namely Amit Kumar who is one of the gang member of Satyaparkash @ Sattey R/o Nand Nagari and is involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder, snatching, robbery etc. would come near mother dairy in Pandav Nagar, Delhi. The information was shared with the senior officers and on their direction a team of AATS/East comprising of Insp. D.P. Singh, SI Rajinder Kumar, SI Dheeraj, SI Sanjeev, ASI Ragender, HC Sukhbir, HC Rajiv, HC Dharmender, Ct. Jitender, CT. Rajkumar, Ct. Ravindra and Ct. Ram Gopal under the supervision of ACP/Operations Sh. Y.K. Tyagi was constituted. In the intervening night of 6-7/8/2016, the team of AATS laid a trap near mother dairy, Pandav Nagar at 1.30 AM in the morning. After a tip off from the informer, Amit @ Sonu was spotted.
Operation: After that tip off from the informer, Amit @ Sonu was spotted and on being pointed out by the informer, he was asked by the police party to stop. Accused Amit @Sonu who was riding on a scooty ( No. DL-5S-BM-4434) tried to flee but was chased by the police party. Police team chased him and apprehended him near underpass (near Mangalam Hospital red light).  He lost his balance after being hit by the vehicle of police party. He took out his weapon and started running away. He was asked to stop and surrender by the police team but he started firing. He fired a total of four rounds and one round each hit the bullet proof jacket of SI Rajender Kumar and HC Sukhbir Singh, both from the staff of Anti Auto Theft Squad, East District. The police party also fired in self defence  and a total of three rounds were fired by the police party. Amit @  Sonu was finally overpowered by the police party and a pistol having three rounds in the magazine was recovered from his possession.

Previous Involvements: Amit @ Sonu is a dreaded criminal who is carrying a reward of Rs. One Lakh for his arrest. He was wanted in a sensational  case of murder of PS Nand Nagari dated 10.10.15 in which another gangster Sonu @ Chikna  was killed during fight amongst the criminals. Amit @ Sanju   is a member of Satprakash @ Satender @ Satya gang of Nand Nagri. He was involved  in the murder of Sonu @ Chikna  due to the inter -gang rivalry.  
Amit @ Sonu is also wanted in an attempt  to murder case of PS Krishna Nagar when he fired on the police party on 25.12.15. The police party was chasing him while it was a hot pursuit for the criminal during investigation of a robbery  case of PS Krishna Nagar. His other accomplish Deepak Jhanji was arrested but accused Amit @ Sonu had managed to escape after firing on the police party of PS Krishna Nagar on 25.12.15. Amit @ Sonu is also wanted in a case of robbery and two cases of snatching of PS Krishna Nagar.
He is a notorious criminal who  specialized in cases of street crime which include snatching and day light robbery.  He does not hesitate to fire at the victim and even at police party when challenged. His previous involvements included 30 cases of snatching,  six cases of robbery, five cases of auto-lifting, two cases of murder, attempt to murder and NDPS Substance. He is involved in total 52 cases. The list of involvements is enclosed

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
