A DESPERATE ROBBER/SNATCHER, AN ACTIVE BC AND EXTERNEE ARRESTED


Ø    23 CASES OF ROBBERY/SNATCHING OF DELHI & NCR WORKED OUT.

Ø    ONE STOLEN MOTORCYCLE AND A SCOOTY USED IN THE CRIME RECOVERED.


INTRODUCTION: -
            Crime Branch has apprehended a notorious robber/snatcher namely Ravi Kumar (32 yrs) s/o Sher Singh r/o H.No.28/125, Kasturba Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi and 23 cases of robbery, snatching, theft in Delhi, NCR have been worked out with his arrest.

INFORMATION & TEAM: -
            Information was received at Eastern Range of Crime Branch about an active gang of robbers/snatchers operating in Delhi and NCR. A team led by ACP H.M. Bakshi and consisting of Inspr. Vinay Tyagi, SIs Raj Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, HCs Raj Kumar, Upender, Sanjeev Kumar, Parvesh Rathi, Devender Deswal, Mohd. Salim, Sunil Kumar, Cts Mohd. Javed, Vivek , and Babu Ram was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh to nab the criminals. 

            It came into notice that this gang was behind the spate of recent incidents of violent armed robberies and snatchings in the Delhi and NCR. The team started working on this input and all the possible means of surveillance were deployed to track down the gang. Eventually, hard work bore fruit when a specific information was received by HC Raj Kumar that one desperate criminal/robber Ravi Kumar  would come near Kohri Mandir, T-Point, Tahir Pur, Delhi.

Accordingly, a trap was laid and the accused Ravi Kumar was apprehended. One motorcycle No.DL-5S W1856 (Apache) wasrecovered from his possession. On verification, the motorcycle was found to be stolen from the area of PS GTB Enclave vide FIR No.7183 u/s 379 IPC, PS e-Police Station Crime Branch, Delhi. On further confirmation, it was found that the actual registration number of the stolen motorcycle is UK-04-K9974 whereas number on the motorcycle displayed as DL-5SW-1856. The arrest has been made u/s- 41.1(a) & (d) Cr. P.C & 53/116 D.P. Act. One scooty bearing No.DL-14 SB 6405 which was being used in the commission of crime has also been recovered at his instance. The accused is an active BC of PS Vivek Vihar. He was externed from Delhi by DCP/East District vide Order No.719-36/Externment Cell/East District, dated 16.06.2015. He entered Delhi and committed crime which is in contravention of the said order.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang.
