ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE WHICH WAS PLANNED AFTER SEEING THE HINDI MOVIE "DRISHYAM"

SOLVED BY THE POLICE OF NORTH EAST DISTRICT

With the arrest of accused person Deepak Sharma R/o Brahampuri, Delhi aged 38 years and apprehension of one JCL, police of PS New Usmanpur has solved attempt to murder case and recovered M/Cycle which were used in committing the crime
BRIEF FACTS : Complainant Sh. Ashok Kumar s/o Sh. Sat Parkash r/o X-5/15, Gali No.8, Brahampuri, Delhi, age -37 Yrs reported that he is  residing at above mentioned address and working as a property dealer. On 5/8/16, he was standing in front of Sewa Sadan Public School, Brahampuri. In the mean time two persons came on a m/cycle and the rider who had covered his face took out a weapon and fired aiming at him.  The bullet passed through his shoulder and entered into his ribs. He identified the person who fired on him as Deepak, his neighbour. Hence, a case vide FIR NO. 645/16 u/s 307/34 IPC & 25/54/59 A.Act was registered at PS New Usmanpur.    
INVESTIGATION : During the course of investigation suspect Deepak was interrogated. Initially he tried to befool the investigation team but after sustained interrogation, accused Deepak broke down and told that Ashok Kumar (victim of the case) had a bad eye on his sister in law and also used filthy language regarding his Bhabhi. On 4/8/16, he along with his nephew made a plan to take revenge from Ashok Kumar. They purchased a M/Cycle from Durgapuri and he (Deepak ) has also a revolver which he bought from one BC namely Suraj three years ago.  He also told his family members, relatives & owners that he is going to Balaji Mehandipur on 5/8/16.
On 5/8/16, Deepak brought a new M/Cycle from East Jyoti Nagar in cash and asked his wife to send his nephew to Seelampur as he had  some work at Maujpur.  Instead he took him from 1st Pusta and they both came to their home (Gali)  wearing helmets.  Deepak’s nephew was driving the M/Cycle and Deepak was riding it. When they saw Ashok standing in Gali, they started the M/Cycle and when reached near Ashok, Deepak fired on him and both ran away from the spot. They reached Ghonda Chowk and hide their M/cycle in Deepak’s shop, where he took an auto rickshaw & reached ISBT, took another auto rickshaw  for Dhaula Kuan  and  from there took Roadways bus to Jaipur & they booked another roadways bus to Balaji and kept tickets as proof at Balaji. Deepak make sure that he comes in the CCTV and entered the details in register in his own handwriting at Mehandipur Balaji. During the entire episode, he switched off his mobile.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
