A NATIONAL LEVEL GOLD MEDALIST IN 400 MTR. RACE ARRESTED.

Crime Branch has arrested a national gold medalist athlete Parveen @ Lara (22 yrs) s/o Mahavir Singh r/o Vill. Panchi Jatan, Distt. Sonepat, Haryana, who is involved in escape of a dreaded and notorious gangster Jitender @ Gogi from police custody while he was being taken to be produced in Narwana Court on 30.07.2016.

   INCIDENT: - On 30.07.16, a notorious gangster Jitender @ Gogi was being taken by the guards of 3rd Bn., Delhi Police to produce in Narwana Court from Tihar Jail, Delhi. He was escorted by four armed guards, who had boarded a Haryana Roadways Bus from ISBT, Delhi. On the way to Narwana, the bus was intercepted by armed assailants in two cars near village Sankhol, Bahadurgarh, Haryana at about 6 am. The assailants were ten in numbers and used chilli powder to execute  their plan for escape of Jitender @ Gogi. In this process assailants also fired with their illegal weapons and escort incharge also retaliated with his service weapon. The assailants succeeded in taking away Jitender @ Gogi and they also robbed an MP 5 Automatic Gun from escort party. In this regard, a case FIR No. 380/16 u/s 186/224/225/332/341/345/347/ 353/120B IPC & 25 Arms Act. PS City Bahadurgarh, Haryana was registered.

TEAM, INFORMATION AND OPERATION: -

In the light of sensitivity of crime committed and escape of notorious gangster Jitender @ Gogi, number of teams were constituted for identification of criminals involved and their apprehension at the earliest. A team of officers of Special Team led by ACP Jitender Singh comprising of Inspr. Puran Pant, SIs Ajit Singh, Sanjay Kumar, ASIs Surender, Shyam Lal, Bahadur Sharma, HCs Parveen, Satish, Narender, Bijender, Virender Kumar, Anil, Cts Raman, Sonu, Anil, Parminder and Rajiv Raghav was constituted under the close supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh to make all possible efforts to establish their identity, hideouts and to apprehend them.

The team so constituted, while working on this matter, collected information through all possible sources, identified the culprits involved and started tracking their movements.  For their apprehension, number of suspected hideouts in Delhi, UP West and Haryana were raided and on some of the occasions the criminals narrowly escaped. However, police officials kept on tracking their movements regularly.

Finally on 05/08/2016, a specific information was received that one of the identified criminal Parveen Panchi involved in escape of notorious gangster Jitender @ Gogi would come to Narela area for search of hideout and making arrangements for expenses. On this information, the team immediately swung into action and laid a trap near the place of information and Parveen @ Lara was apprehended near CNG Patrol Pump, 100 Foota Road, Narela Delhi. He was arrested u/s 41.1(a) CrPC.

On interrogation, Parveen @ Lara confessed to have committed this crime alongwith his associates Gulshan @ Gullu R/o Vill Alipur, Delhi, Sanjay @ Falla r/o Alipur, Rohit R/o Vill. Moi , Sonepat, Mohit r/o Vill. Panchi Jatan, Sonepat, Deepak @ Boxer r/o Vill. Gummad, Sonepat, Deepak r/o Vill. Bajana Khurd, Sonepat, Irfaan R/o Baruat UP and two others from Western UP in a preplanned and conspired manner. For this purpose they also robbed a i-20 car at gun point from Bawana area and most of the gang members were armed with weapons.

He also confessed that he along with two other boys Deepak @ Boxer and Sanjay @ Falla also boarded the same bus in which Jitender @ Gogi stepped in with armed escort of Delhi Police. On the way another associate Rohit also boarded the same bus from Bahadurgarh and kept the back door of the bus open as planned. Their other associates kept on chasing the bus with SX4 and i-20 car. As planned, other associates intercepted the bus near vill. Sankhol, Bahadurgarh, Haryana with robbed i-20 at front side and SX4 at back side. Their associates climbed into the bus from both sides with weapons in their hands, who opened fire and also poured chilli powder in the eyes of escort party members and succeeded in taking away Jitender @ Gogi from police custody. They also succeeded in robbing an MP-5 automatic weapon from escort party.

In this case, two accused namely Deepak @ Boxer r/o Gummad, Gannaur, Sonepat Haryana (arrested by Crime Branch) and Mohit R/o Panchi Jatan, Sonepat Haryana (arrested by Special Staff N/W Distt. Delhi) had already been arrested on 02/08/2016.

That there is a gang war going on between Sunil @ Tillu r/o Tajpur and Jitender @ Gogi r/o Alipur for the  last  3  years and in result of this gangwar, 4-5 members of rival gangs have been killed so far. Jitender @ Gogi has a high grudge against Sunil @ Tillu, who is presently lodged in Sonepat jail in a murder case in which he had murdered one Niranjan Master, an eye witness to the murder of one Arun @ Commando, who was close to Gogi. As such there is strong apprehension that Jitender @ Gogi will eliminate members of rival gang and can attack Sunil @ Tillu at the time of his production before the Court from jail.
