NOTORIOUS DRUG TRAFFICKER ARRESTED IN AN INCIDENT

  • 1.5 KG OF FINE QUALITY CHARAS (MALANA CREAM) RECOVERED.
  • VALUE OF THE RECOVERED DRUGS IS RS. 15 LAC (APPROX.) IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

INTRODUCTION:- In a classic display of highly courageous, professional, meticulous & well-planned operation, Crime Branch has arrested one drug trafficker Ramkishan (27 yrs) s/o Bhagiram r/o Malana, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh and recovered 1.5 kg fine quality charas from his possession.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: - The efforts put in by the team bore fruits when secret information was received by ASI Sudhir Kumar on 22.07.2016 that one person Ramkishan is involved in supply of charas in areas of Delhi & Chandigarh after procuring it from Malana, HP. He would come to supply the consignment of charas near Ghata Masjid Road, Daryaganj, Delhi. If raid is conducted, accused Ramkishan could be apprehended.
In the international market the drug is known as Malana Cream and Hashish user all over the world are crazy about Malana Cream. This consignment was to be supplied to students of Delhi and Amity Universities.
Acting on this information, a team of officers of Narcotics Cell/Crime Branch led by ACP Ranbir Singh, consisting of Insp. Devender Kumar, SI Sumit Kumar, ASIs Sudhir Kumar, Mehak Singh, HCs Vikram, Mohan, Cts Manish, Dinesh, Sonu, Mahender, Jagdish and W/Const. Sarvjeet Kaur was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajan Bhagat and over-all supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas and laid a trap at the given place of information. At the scheduled time, a boy arrived near Ghata Masjid Road, Daryaganj, Delhi and he was identified as Ramkishan by the secret informer. He was promptly apprehended by the raiding party. During his personal search, 1.5 kg of fine quality charas was recovered from his possession. Value of the recovered charas is Rs. 15 lac (approximately) in international market. A case vide FIR No.131/2016 u/s 20 NDPS Act dated 23.07.2016, PS Crime Branch was registered in this regard.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
