CCTV FOOTAGE HELPED IN SOLVING BLIND MURDER OF A MOTOR MECHANIC

The team of PS Swaroop Nagar, North West District have arrested two persons i.e. Sunil Kumar S/o Sh. Kanta Prasad r/o H. No. E-22, Shradhdhanand Colony, Bhalswa, Delhi & Lucky s/o Sh. Ram Singh Kapoor r/o H. No. D-381, Gali No. 15, Swami Shardhanand, Colony, Delhi and have worked out a blind murder case wherein a young motor mechanic Irfan S/o Wasiluddin R/o D-55, Gali No.4, Rajiv Nagar, Bhalswa, Delhi was beaten to death and his body was dumped at a distance. Due to this incident there was strong resentment in the public and relatives of diseased.

INCIDENT / OPERATION /INVESTIGATION:-
On 04.08.2016, a PCR Call was received at 5:30 PM about a boy dumped in unconscious state at Kachchi Gali, Opp. Gali No.9, Near Singhaniya Glass Godown.  On receipt of the information, SHO/Swaroop Nagar along with staff immediately rushed to the spot.  The victim had already been shifted to the BJRM Hospital by PCR.  The local enquiry revealed that the victim was dumped by two motorcyclists.  Meanwhile, information regarding death of the victim was received from the hospital but he could not be identified.  The body of the deceased was preserved in Mortuary, BJRM Hospital for autopsy.  Case FIR No.329/16 dated-04.08.2016 U/s 302/201/34 IPC was registered on the basis of the PCR Call at PS Swaroop Nagar, Delhi and was taken up for investigation.
TEAM:-
Three teams were constituted to identify and workout the murder case under the close supervision of Shri Prashant Gautam, IPS, ACP/Jahangir Puri under Inspr. Bharat Ram, SHO/Swaroop Nagar, Inspr. Rajiv Ranjan (ATO), Inspr. Binod Singh (Inspr. Investigation) comprising of PSI Kuldeep, ASI Bijender Singh, HC Somveer, HC Parveen, HC Ramphal, Ct. Gunvant, Ct. Vijay, Ct. Ajay and Ct. Pradeep.
OPERATION / INVESTIGATION
In order to obtain any information about the murder, ground level intelligence channels were activated including ‘eyes & ears’ in the area.  The beat & division staff was also asked to collect and share any information on the incident.  The efforts of the teams yielded results and on 04.08.2016 the  information was received by SHO/Swaroop Nagar about a quarrel that took place near Wine Shop, 60’ Feet Burari Road among two group of motorcyclists on the issue of purchasing of ‘ gol-gappa’.  The teams immediately rushed to the Wine Shop and started looking for any clue about the incident.  Inspr. Investigation along with staff conducted local enquiry around the dumping spot for any clue about the M/Cyclists who dumped the deceased.  The area surrounding the wine-shop was also searched and a bullet motor cycle was found abandoned in a lane at a small distance from the wine shop.  The police team obtained the address from the registration number of the motorcycle.  On reaching the address of the owner as per the registration of the motorcycle, it was found that its owner namely Irfan S/o Wasiluddin  r/o A-55, Gali No. 4, Rajeev Nagar, Bhalswa, Delhi was the deceased in the case. The CCTV footage around the wine shop were also scanned.  The footage of wine shop revealed that a quarrel had taken place between some youth on the footpath near the wine shop.  The footage was closely analyzed and posters of the person involved in the fight were prepared.  The pictures of the suspect were shared with the staff of the team and also widely circulated in the   area of PS Swaroop Nagar, Jhangir Puri and Bhalswa Dairy.  A tip off was received that, one of the accused is Sunil is resident of Bhalswa Dairy.  He was arrested from his residence on 6.8.2016.
During further investigation & on the basis of technical inputs the co-accused Lucky s/o Sh. Ram Singh Kapoor r/o H. No. D-381, Gali No. 15, Swami Shardhanand, Colony, Delhi was also arrested on 24.8.16 by the team from the area of Jahangir Puri, Delhi.  The accused persons were thoroughly interrogated wherein they revealed that after their fight with the deceased they had left him at the spot near the wine shop.

PROFILES OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-
(1) Sunil Kumar (21 years) S/o Sh. Kanta Prasad r/o H. No. E-22, Shradhdhanand Colony, Bhalswa, Delhi had studied up to 10th standard. He is residing in the area of Swami Shardhanand Colony, Bhalswa, Delhi and working as waiter in a farm house at Palla Red Light, G.T. Road, Alipur, Delhi.  He murdered the deceased Irfan in a fit of rage.
(2)  Lucky (21 years) s/o Sh. Ram Singh Kapoor r/o H. No. D-381, Gali No. 15, Swami Shardhanand, Colony, Delhi studied up to 4th standard.  A Native of District-Moga, Punjab, he is presently residing in the area of Swami Shardhanand Colony, Bhalswa, Delhi.  He is working as a driver and his father is also auto driver.  He murdered the deceased Irfan in a fit of rage.
