“INTERSTATE RACKET OF BSES TRANSFORMERS THIEVES BUSTED”

With the arrest of (1.) Niru Bhai S/o Baba Singh R/o Vill-Kathuwa, Teh-Talaaj District- Bhawnagar (Gujrat) (2.) Asif S/o Hasam Bhai R/o Room No. 206, State Plaza, RishuVihar, District- Bhawnagar (Gujrat) (3.) Shoaib Bhai S/o Mahboob Bhai R/o Railway Station Road, Hamirpur, District-Bhawnagar(Gujrat) staff of PS Lahori Gate, North District, Delhi has busted sensational case of BSES Transformers Theft from Chandni Chowk area.
INCIDENT /BRIEF FACTS
On 31/07/2016, a theft case of two (2) BSES transformers weighing 7 tonnes each was registered vide FIR No. 167/16 U/S 379 IPC at PS Lahori Gate by complainant Mr. Subhash Chauhan, Sr. Manager (Execution) BSES, Delhi. The transformers were kept on Chandni Chowk Road in open near PNB Bank which were to be installed within some time.

OPERATION

Initially the case was totally blind. On the intervening night of                            16-17/07/2016, the theft was committed by unknown persons. CCTV footage from areas was collected and studied. One CCTV footage was obtained wherein one truck No. HR-38-Q-3276 was short listed. The address of the owner of truck was sought which came to be of the area of Vill-Ghati Khanpur, District-Mewat, Gurgaon(Haryana). Keeping in view gravity and seriousness of the same, a dedicated team comprising of SI Varun Dalal, I/C PP, HC Sanjeev, HC Dinesh and Ct Manoj was constituted under command of Inspr. Vinod Narang, SHO/Lahori Gate and supervision of Sh. Balwant Singh ACP/Kotwali by worthy DCP/North. It transpired through secret informer that driver namely Zia-ud-din S/o Md. Khan R/o Vill-Khati Khanpur, District- Mewat(Gurgaon) was driving said truck during the date of incident. He was picked tactfully just outside village alongwith truck by aforesaid team. During interrogation, he told that he was engaged for loading said transformers by broker Javed S/o Late Shaukat Ali R/o PC-7212, Parwatiya Colony, Faridabad, Haryana who was running transport shop in name of S.K Transport in Dagar Market, Sec-58, Ballabgarh, Faridabad, Haryana. Team took the truck in possession and immediately rushed alongwith with driver to Javed. He told that he was contacted by one Rohtash who was stated to be a scrap dealer in Shakur Pur, Near Rani Bagh, Delhi for loading of transformers. The shop of Rohtash was found locked. He was contacted by one Nirubhai from Gujrat who old that the transformers are to be unloaded in Alang, Gujrat. Through the analysis of call details whereabouts of Nirubhai were traced. A team alongwith driver and Javedwas rushed to Alang, Gujrat. After reaching in Alnag, accused Niru Bhai was nabbed who during interrogation told that he got unloaded the truck containing said transformers in his godown in Alang, Gujrat where he runs his scrap business. He further stated that he had sold the said transformers to co-accused Asif S/o Hasam Bhai in Kumbarwada where he is running a scrap business. Team immediately took accused Niru Bhai along and apprehended Asif in Kumbarwada. He further stated that he had purchased the transformers from Niru Bhai for 9 Lacs and had kept in a vacant plot in Kumbarwada, Gujrat. Accused Asif led the team to the said plot and the transformers were recovered. Further joint interrogation of accused Asif and Niru Bhai was conducted who told that above mentioned co-accused Shoaib Bhai had prepared fake form no. 403(SALE TAX Form) in name of his company Apollo Traders against said transformers for safe passage in journey from Haryana to Gujrat from sale tax officials. Later on co-accused Shoaib was also arrested. BSES officials are also involved and have been identified. Raids are in progress to nab them.
