ALERT DELHI POLICE CONSTABLE MANAGED TO RECOVER ONE LOADED MP-5 GUN

ROBBED FROM POLICE ESCORT WHILE TAKING NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL JITENDER@GOGI


BRIEF OF INCIDENT: On 25/08/16, Ct. Robin Singh No. 1816/NW was detailed for patrolling duty near Haider Pur Metro Station in the area of PS Shalimar Bagh.  While he was present near Haider Pur Metro Station, he noticed two boys riding motorcycle having their face covered with mask and the pillion rider was holding a bag coming from Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh side.  On suspicion, Const Robin Singh signaled them to stop the motorcycle.  Initially, they slowed down but suddenly they sped up and tried to flee.  Const Robin Singh showed presence of mind and pounced upon them.  He managed to catch the string of the bag which they were carrying.  However, the bikers managed to run away on the Outer Ring Road towards Madhuban Chowk.
Later, he checked the bag and to his utter surprise the bag contained one loaded MP-5 gun alongwith a magazine containing 13 live cartridges in it.  Const Robin Singh immediately passed the information to PCR.  On receipt of the information, SHO Shalimar Bagh alongwith staff immediately reached the spot.  
Further enquiry revealed that this MP-5 gun was robbed from an escort party while escorting notorious criminal Jitender@Gogi s/o Mehar Singh r/o Vill:Alipur, Delhi for production in the court in the area of PS City Bahadur Garh (HR).  It is pertinent to mention here that Jitender@Gogi was also taken away from the custody of police party by the criminals.  Accordingly, a case was registered at PS Bahadur Garh , Haryana.
The recovered MP-5 gun was accordingly seized at PS Shalimar Bagh and information was also given to PS Bahadur Garh, Haryana.
It was due to presence of mind, courage, sincerity, alertness, devotion to duty and swift action of Ct Robin Singh No 1816/NW that the bag containing MP-5 gun could be recovered.  He showed exemplary courage to check and overpower the motor cycle-borne criminals without caring for his own safety.  The criminals were carrying a loaded deadly weapon. The possibility of committing heinous crime including indiscriminate firing on the crowd on the occasion of Janamasthmi could not be ruled out.
RECOVERY
One MP-5 gun and a magazine containing 13 live cartridges.

It may be recalled that one of the accused Mohit involved in the forceful release of notorious criminal Jitender@Gogi was also arrested by North West District on 02.08.2016.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
