INTER –STATE GANG OF HIGHWAY  ROBBERS BUSTED, 7600 ROBBED MOBILE PHONES WORTH RS. 1.07  CRORE, TATA 407 USED IN CRIME  RECOVERED BY NORTH DISTT. POLICE
North District Police has busted an inter-state gang of highway robbers and cracked a sensational robbery/Truck -jacking  cum kidnapping case wherein 7600 Karbonn mobile phones & an Eicher Canter were robbed by this gang regarding which a case  FIR No.239/17 dated 19/05/2017 u/s 365/392/34 IPC PS Burari, Delhi was registered at Burari within 36 hours.
Incident:  The complainant Santosh (driver of Eicher Canter of M/s Supreme Tempo Service, Okhla stated that in the intervening night of 18/19.05/2017 while driving his Eicher Canter No. DL1LR2169 loaded with 7600 Karbonn mobile phones from Okhla Industrial area to Zirakpur, when he reached on outer Ring road near Burari flyover, a tempo TATA 407 waylaid his Canter and two persons came out of the tempo & pretended it to be an accident. When he got down, they overpowered & abducted him, tied his hands & dumped him in their Tempo. One of their associates took control of his Canter loaded with above valuables and drove away. Later on at about 6.30 AM, they dumped him in the area of PS Mundka and left his Canter abandoned in the nearby area.
Investigation/Interrogation: A team of AATS/North consisting of Insp. Satish Kumar, SI Ravindra Singh, Prem Kumar & Vijay Panwar, ASI Mahesh, Ramkishan & Satish Patil, HC Nishant & Pritam Singh under the leadership of Sh. Vikram Kumar, Under Training IPS officer looking after the work of SHO/Burari was constituted that worked round the clock and cracked the clueless case within 36 hours of the incident on the basis of secret information. All the four accused persons namely (i) Sanjay @ Jaiveer r/o Trilok Puri Delhi (ii) Mohd Salman r/o Rampura, Delhi (iii) Sarvan Kumar r/o Rampura , Golden park,Delhi (iv) Salman @ Bhura r/o Rampura, Golden Park, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi have been arrested and the robbed mobile phones as well as the tempo used in crime have been recovered from their  possession. At the time of commission of robbery, the accused did not know about the robbed booty. Upon sighting of  huge no. of mobiles worth a crore, they  decided to dispose of  the robbed booty in neighboring states by looking for potential  receivers &transport.  
Modus – Operandi :  The gang members targeted loaded Truck/Canter plying in late night  driven by  single driver by blocking the way using the Tata 407 vehicle owned  by the  accused Sharvan. On the day of incident, the above gang members (being prison –friends in Tihar Jail) zeroed on their target i.e the loaded Canter.
Previous involvements :On sustained interrogation the accused have disclosed their previous criminal involvements.

RECOVERY:  Robbed 7600 mobile phones worth 1.07 Crore &  TATA-407 No. DL-1RG-7234 used in robbery have been recovered within 36 hours from the accused persons.

A CHRONIC CHEAT AND PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN MORE THAN 13 CASES ARRESTED

The PO Staff of PS Rani Bagh, North West District has arrested one Brij Bhushan Sharma S/O Shri Ghan Shyam Sharma R/O 776/14, Sec-14, Faridabad, Haryana, a chronic cheat and a proclaimed offender (PO) in more than 13 cases on 15.12.2015. The issue of arrest/tracing of POs has always remained top priority of policing. A dedicated team is formed in each police station and is assigned the task of apprehending POs declared by various courts of law.  The progress made is also periodically discussed and monitored by Courts and senior officers in meetings.  DCP/NW had also directed staff to pay special attention to tracing of POs.  As a result the staff of North West District has arrested 176 POs during the current year.   The team consisting of HC Rajesh Rana, No.192/NW, Ct Pawan, No.1398/NW and Ct.
