Ø ONE SOPHISTICATED PISTOL WITH ONE LIVE CARTRIDGE HAS BEEN RECOVERED.

With the arrest of accused Veeru Chouhan s/o Om Prakash s/o F-3/821 Sangam Vihar New Delhi aged 22 yrs. police officials of PS  Sangam Vihar, South East District have busted the active sharpshooter and recovered a sophisticated pistol with one live cartridge.
INCIDENT & TEAM& ARREST
In the recent briefing to all Police Station staff, it was emphasized to keep strict vigil on desperate and budding criminals possessing illegal Arms. Therefore, under the close supervision ofInsp.Vikram Singh, ATO/SangamVihar & over all guidance of Sh. Raj Kumar Khatana, ACP/ Ambedkar Nagar strict check and patrolling in the area during late night hours through Picket checking and Patrolling bikes with weapons was being conducted by the staff of PS Sangam Vihar. On the night of 23/05/2017, a team consisting of ASI MP Singh, Ct. Babulal, Ct. Jitesh & Ct. Ashok were on picket duty. During picket checking Ct. Babulal and Ct. Jitesh noticed a suspicious man on Mangal Bazaar Road who was asked to stop, but he ignored the directions and instead started running briskly. Subsequently, he was overpowered by the picket staff and enquired upon. During enquiry he also tried to misguide the Police personnel but during search of the suspicious person, one country made pistol and 01 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Therefore, a case vide FIR No. 238/17 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered in this regard at PS SangamVihar, Delhi and investigation was taken up. 

INTERROGATION
During investigation the accused was interrogated and on interrogation, it has been revealed that the accused Veeru Chouhan is an active and budding criminal. He had snatched the above recovered pistol and one live cartridge from an unknown person with whom he had a scuffle few days back in the area. He had intended to use that pistol to scare innocent people and take revenge from his rivals.

1.Veeru Chouhan s/o Om Prakash r/o H.No F-3/821, SangamVihar, New Delhi, Age 22 yrs is originally from Etawah (U.P). He had studied till 10th class and was unemployed, due to which he fell in bad company.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
