DAY LIGHT ROBBERY CASE OF BHARAT NAGAR SOLVED

The Special Team of Crime Branch, Delhi has arrested a notorious robber namely Pawan @ Popad, , r/o A1 Budh Vihar, Phase-II, Delhi Age-23 years, wanted in a sensational day-light robbery case of Rs. 40 Lakhs robbed at gun point from the area of PS Bharat Nagar, Delhi.

TEAM & INCIDENTS:-
In the light of the incidents of robberies in Rohini, Outer Distt. & North-West District area in the recent past, a team of officers of Crime Branch was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Puran Pant No. D-3434 comprising of SI Karan Singh, ASI’s Narender, Bijender, & Ashok, HC’s Parveen No. 436/OD & Satish No. 170/Crime &, Cts. Parveen 759/Crime, Parminder Singh No. 853/Crime, Ankush No. 1396/Crime, & Bhupender No. 514/Crime, under the directions of ACP Sh. Ishwar Singh and overall supervision of DCP Dr. G. Ramgopal Naik for identification of the criminals involved and also to put up all efforts for recoveries of illegal weapons. The team constituted, has collected specific information through possible sources.
Finally, on 28.05.2017 at about 07:50 PM, the team received some specific information that a robber namely, Pawan @ Popad, wanted in a sensational day light robbery case of PS Bharat Nagar in which Rs. 40 lacs were robbed at gun point, would come near MTNL office, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi to meet someone known to him in search of a new hideout. The team immediately swung into action, and laid a trap near the place of information. At about        09:15 PM, Pawan @ Popad reached the spot and starting waiting for someone. However, sensing some trouble, he tried to flee away but was promptly apprehended by the team members. On conducting their cursory search, Rs. 2,20,000/- were recovered from his possession and he confessed to have committed the sensational day light robbery at gun point on 24.04.17 near Laxmi Bai College and the recovered booty was part of his share of the said robbery.

The arrested accused Pawan @ Popad  also confessed to have committed another robbery at gun point from Sector-24, Rohini, Delhi in the month of February-2017, reported vide FIR No 123/17dated 28.02.2017, U/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Begumpur, Delhi.  



PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS :-

     Pawan @ Popad, is a  r/o Budh Vihar, Phase-II, Delhi Age-23. He has studied upto 10 standard and is a mechanic by profession. He has previously been arrested in a case of M.V. Theft.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
