DRIVE AGAINST STREET CRIME, 06 AUTOLIFTERS/SNATCHERS

  • ARRESTED IN A DAY AND 02 MINORS APPRHENDED
  • 39 CASES SOLVED AND 13 VEHICLES & ONE MOBILE PHONE RECOVERED
   In order to keep a check on  Street Crime, concerted efforts were made. Sources were developed. Crime pattern was analysed. Areas and routes of the offenders were identified, on basis of which patrolling was intensified and picketing was strategically deployed. Due to effective checking, 08 Auto-lifters/Snatchers were arrested, 12 stolen vehicles and 01 Mobile Phone recovered and 38 cases of MVT solved in a day in three separate incidents in Shahdara District.
INCIDENT GEETA COLONY
A case E-FIR No. 2825/16 u/s 379 IPC was registered in Police Station Geeta Colony in which desperate criminals namely Gulfam and Saleem were wanted in this case.  On 11.06.2017, secret information was received that these wanted criminals are presently staying in District Bulandshahar, UP.  Acting upon the information, a raiding team consisting of ASI Naresh, HC Naresh, HC Virender was constituted under the close supervision of Inspr. Pawan Kumar, SHO/PS Geeta Colony.  The team raided according to the given information and apprehended Gulfam with the stolen scooty from Bhud Chowk Bulandshahr UP. During interrogation accused disclosed about his involvement in other cases of MVT along with his brother. To arrest co accused Saleem two days police custody was obtained from the concerned court. During the further interrogation accused Saleem was arrested and 6 Vehicles were recovered from his possession with one handmade lock broken iron instrument.
On 14.06.17 ASI Subhash, Ct Pardeep and Ct Arvind were on picket checking Tanga Stand, Jheel Chowk, Geeta Colony. During the checking two persons were seen coming on scooty (without number plate) from the side of 2 Block, Geeta Colony. They were stopped for checking and asked for the documents related to scooty but they could not give any satisfactory reply. On checking details of vehicle on ZIPNET, with Engine No. & Chases. No, the scooty found stolen vide FIR No. 16080/17 U/s 379 IPC PS Geeta Colony. On further interrogation both were found to be minors.
In the intervening night of 15.06.17, HC Bhupender and Ct. Sonu Rana were on picket duty nearby Hedgewar Hospital, found two persons riding on a motor cycle. They were stopped for checking and directed to produce relevant documents of the Motor Cycle but they could not produce the same and started making excuses. On checking the Registration No. of the Motor Cycle in the list of vehicles stolen from PS Farsh Bazar, it was found that the Motor Cycle was reported stolen vide E-FIR No. 012013/17, u/s 379 IPC PS Farsh Bazar.

On 14.06.17 a secret information regarding Auto-lifters was received while performing patrolling duty in the area of PS GTB Enclave those Auto-lifters would come from the side of Tahir pur towards GTB Hospital to steel vehicles. On basis of the information raiding party was constituted comprising of ASI Krishan Pal, Ct Aadesh and Ct Jitender under close supervision of Insp. Manjeet Tomar, SHO/GTB Enclave. On the basis of information staff deployed near GTB Hospital Gate No 1. After some time two persons were seen coming from the side of Tahir Pur riding Apache M/Cycle. Informer indicates towards them and the motor cycle stopped. On checking registration numbers of the vehicles on ZIPNET, Apache M/Cycle with Reg. No. UK 07 AV 7637 was found stolen from jurisdiction of PS Nand Nagri. And one mobile phone also recovered from the possession of accused Amir was found stolen from PS M S Park.
On 14/06/17, at 09:15 PM, ASI Parveen and Ct. Amit Dangi were performing picket duty on GT Road, in front of old Police Station Shahdara by checking the suspicious Motorcyclist. During checking they saw that two persons are coming from Welcome side on a scooty and after seeing the police checking they stopped their scooty and turned back their scooty and tried to flee from there. On having suspicion ASI Praveen along with Ct. Amit overpowered both above said persons with the scooty No.DL-14SC-6647, whose name were known on interrogation later as Aneesh and Dilshad. The recovered scooty was found to be stolen in case FIR No. 16648/17 dated 31/05/17. Both of the accused were arrested vide DD No.13A, U/s 41.1 (d) CrPC. After receiving the above said information, a team comprising of SI Manish Chaudhary, ASI Praveen, ASI Udaiveer, Ct. Vikas, Ct. Sachin Tomar and Ct. Deepak, under the leadership of SHO/Shahdara and under overall supervision of ACP/Shahdara, Shahdara District, was constituted. During sustained interrogation both the accused persons confessed their involvement in 14 other cases of MVT of PS Shahdara and other police stations of Distt Shahdara. They disclosed that they had sold many stolen motorcycles to Shahzaad who is a bike mechanic and belongs to our village. They further disclosed that Shahzaad used to resale the said bikes to another persons or he used to dismantle the stolen vehicles for selling the parts separately.  
On receiving further lead on behalf of interrogation of both the accused persons raid was conducted at the house of co-accused Shahzaad but he could not be found. During raid two motorcycles No. DL-1SQ-9533 and DL-6SAR-1202 were recovered from the house of Shahzaad. On checking M/Cycle No. DL-1SQ-9533 was found stolen Vide FIR No. 32551/16 dated 03/11/16 and M/Cycle No. DL-6SAR-1202 was found stolen vide FIR No. 13637/17 dated 06/05/17. M/Cycle No. DL-1SQ-9533 was found partially dismantled. Both the M/cycles were taken into police possession. Further investigation is in progress.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
