Road Safety Awareness Summer Camp organized by Delhi Traffic Police

As part of the Road Safety Awareness Summer Camp organized by Delhi Traffic Police, a new initiative has been introduced to sensitize the students about the nuances of traffic management. Senior class students studying in Class IX - XII were taken to select intersections where they assisted Traffic Police in traffic regulation using hand signals. Practical Training in manual traffic drill has been a regular feature during the 5 day long summer camp. Students got an opportunity to Test their proficiency in traffic drill by regulating traffic at select intersections. The road users were also sensitized about traffic rules and road safety norms by students holding placards with road safety messages. Students also distributed road safety literature to the public.
Select students of the last batch of the summer camp from all the five Traffic Training Parks were taken to Vijay Chowk, one of the major intersections in Delhi, on Thursday 8th June 2017 in the morning peak hours from 0900 hrs to 1000 hrs, where they extended a helping hand to Delhi Traffic Police personnel in regulating traffic. The students were quite eager and excited to learn and gain experience about the role of Traffic Police personnel in managing and regulating the traffic on roads.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. HE ALLEGEDELY OPERATED INSIDE THE JAIL CARRYING REWARD OF Rs. 20,000/- District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg.
