Drug supplier Nand Kishor Joshi, member of interstate narcotic drug syndicate arrested at Delhi

  • 05 kgs of high grade heroin worth Rs. 20 crores in international market recovered.

A team of Special Cell / Northern Range, led by Inspr. Attar Singh and Inspr. Jeetendra Tiwari under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has busted an Interstate drug syndicate. Key player of said syndicate namely Nand Kishor Joshi (Age 31 yrs) s/o Devi Shankar r/o Haji Colony, Sanjeet Naka, Distt. Mandsour, MP was arrested on 19/06/2017 near Hanuman Mandir, Ourter Ring Road, Delhi. 05 kgs of high grade heroin worth Rs. 20 crores in the international market has been recovered from possession of arrested drug supplier. Case under appropriate sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Special Cell in this regard.

Development of Information

Special Cell in its drive against drug suppliers had busted several narcotic drug syndicates in the past by arresting various members of these syndicates and recovering huge consignments of drugs including heroin and opium. Sleuths of Special Cell of Northern Range were working on information that an interstate narcotic drug syndicate was active in states of UP, MP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab etc. Members of this syndicate are involved in supply of high grade heroin from MP to Delhi and adjoining states in India. This information was further developed by SI Bijender Singh with team members through human surveillance. It took about 3/4 months of painstaking efforts to develop information. During this process, members of this syndicate were identified and their activities were kept under discreet surveillance. Secret sources were deployed to gather more information about members of this syndicate.

Operation
 
On 19/06/2017, a specific information was received in Special Cell that Nand Kishor Joshi, a notorious drug supplier, who was part of the above mentioned syndicate had arrived in Delhi with big a consignment of heroin. The said consignment was to be delivered to one of his contacts near Hanuman Mandir, Outer Ring Road, Delhi between 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. A raiding party was constituted and trap was laid near Hanuman Mandir, where Nand Kishor Joshi arrived with a black colour backpack. He was identified by the secret/source  and on search of his backpack 05 kgs high quality heroin was recovered.

SI Bijender Singh, SI Raj Singh, SI Rakesh and SI Sandeep Kumar played  important role in arrest of Nand Kishor Joshi.


Profile of the arrested person:


Nand Kishor Joshi belongs to a lower middle class family. He is driver by profession. He came in contact with a person in Mandsour, MP who lured him to step in the field of drug trafficking. Slowly he learnt the skills of preparation of heroin from opium and he himself prepares heroin from opium. Nand Kishor Joshi has been indulging in drug trafficking for last five years.
