SHARP SHOOTER OF ABU SALEM UNDERWORLD GANG NAMELY JAAN USMAN @ USMAN KHAN @ REENU ARRESTED

PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN CASES OF FAKE CURRENCY, EXTORTION, MURDER OF DELHI AND MUMBAI
HE WAS WANTED IN AN ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE OF PS JANAKPURI, DELHI
Special Staff of East District has arrested one sharp shooter of notorious underworld don Abu Salem gang. The name of the arrested criminal is:
  1. Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan @ Reenu (35 years) s/o Kamar Husain r/o 1580/39, Tri Nagar, Sarai Rohilla, New Delhi.
INCIDENT:-
On 03.06.2017, an information was received at PS Janak Puri, Delhi that one lady had been shot near C-2, Janak Puri, Delhi. On this information lady was hospitalized and statements were recorded. As per the statements the lady was shot by her husband Usman and two associates and accordingly as per statements a case was registered at PS Janak Puri, Delhi u/s 307/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act.
INFORMATION, TEAM& OPERATION:-
Special Staff of East Distt. On 15/06/17, received information that one Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan@ Reenu, a sharp shooter of under-world don Abu Salem gang, and wanted in a case of PS Janak puri, Delhi would come in the area of Pandav Nagar, East Delhi to meet some of his associate and he always carry illicit weapons with him. On this a team under the leadership of Insp. Vinay Yadav I/C Spl Staff/East comprising of SIs Arun Sindhu, K.K. Sharma, ASIs Sudesh Pal Rana, Satbir, Bakshish, HCs Lalit Dixit, Saleem and Rajeshwar under the close supervision of Sh. Y.K. Tyagi ACP/Ops was constituted. The team laid a trap near Sanjay Jheel Park in Pandav Nagar and on the instance of informer; Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan @ Reenu was apprehended in a swift operation. One improvised pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Accordingly case has been registered at PS Pandav Nagar and Usman was arrested in the case. 
INTERROGATION:-
During the course of interrogation, Jaan Usman disclosed that he had gone to Mumbai in the year 1996 where he came in contact of one Waseem, a sharp shooter of Abu Salem gang. Waseem was accused in murder of Gulshan Kumar (owner of T-Series Cassette Co. & a film producer) who introduced him to Abu Salem and he joined his gang. Thereafter, Abu Salem introduced him to one Aftab Bhatki, who was running a FICN racket from Dubai and Karachi. Jaan Usman also joined him in circulating FICN in India through Nepal and Bangladesh route but was arrested in Delhi in an FICN case in 2000. After getting released from jail, he moved to Mumbai and started extorting money in Bollywood on the directions of Abu Salem. Later, he was arrested for an extortion bid on film distributor Anil Thadani. After his release from Mumbai jail, he came to Delhi and in the year 2010, he was again arrested under Arms Act at P.S. Kalyanpuri for carrying illicit arms and in a murder of a businessman in Vikas Puri. He has also disclosed to have fired upon singer Daler Mehandi and film producer Rakesh Roshan on the directions of Abu Salem for extorting protection money. Later as he never attended Courts was declared as P.O. and was arrested in 2015 in Delhi. He disclosed that in the year 2016 he along with his associates he went to Mumbai and had threatened a famous Director/Choreographer and his brother-in-law on a dispute (dispute with one leading film producer) which occurred after a hit movie of 2015. Though the producer got a Case registered against Choreographer/Director in Uttar Pradesh but no complaint was made by the Choreographer/Director. In the year 2015 he was also contacted from under world for murder of Chhota Rajan but due to high security by law agencies the plan could not be materialized. He disclosed that he had also threatened infamous gangster Ravi Pujari. He disclosed that due to strained relations with his wife in the intervening night of 02-03/06/2017, he along with his associates fired on his wife and accordingly a case was registered against him at PS Janak Puri, Delhi. After this incident he went to Nepal for absconding and wants to get help from gangster friend Chakre Milan for harbouring. But as Milan was arrested in May 2017 and Nepal police was cracking down the whole Gang, hence he doesn’t feel safe there, so again decided to come back to Delhi.

  5. Case FIR No. 57/15 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi.
  6. Case FIR No. 220/17 u/s 307 IPC & 27 Arms Act PS Janak Puri, Delhi.
  7. Case FIR No. 237/17 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Pandav Nagar, Delhi.
  8. One case of Extortion of 1999 of PS Bandra, Mumbai of Extortion.
PROFILE:- 
Jaan Usman @ Usman Khan @ Reenu was born in a poor family in Sarai Rohilla, Delhi. He has studied upto 5thclass in a govt. school. He is having three sisters and three brothers.

               The Special Staff police team of East Delhi which has done a commendable job in working out sensational case is being suitably rewarded.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
