Lakh. Incident: On 17.7.2017, one Sameer Kumar, delivery boy of Flipkart Company had gone on the Fourth floor of Gangotri Apartments, Sector 12, Dwarka to deliver a parcel. On 29.07.17, South District Police organized felicitation ceremony of all Delhi Police Mitras at Siri Fort Auditorium, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.  The programme was chaired by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi and was attended by senior officers of Delhi Police and around 2000 Police Mitras from all 13 Districts of Delhi.   After introduction and welcome by DCP/South District, a power point presentation was given by Joint CP/SER to brief the Police Mitras on aims and objectives of the Police Mitra Scheme and the inspiration behind organizing the felicitation ceremony at the mega scale.  The importance of Police Mitras in prevention of crime, maintaining law & order and communal harmony in the area was emphasized.  In view of forthcoming Independence Day Celebrations, a special sensitization of the Police Mitras was stressed as the need of the hour. RECOVERED :- Fake/Counterfeit Indian Currency Notes of Rs.2,000/- denomination amounting to Rs. 40,000/-. The team of Special Staff/West District has arrested a person namely Mohammad Hussain, who is member of a well organized racket involved in circulating fake/ counterfeit Indian currency notes.
