Property dealer hatched conspiracy to rob a property buyer of Rs. 52 lacs, arrested

  • Robbed cash Rs. 41.76 lacs recovered.


With the arrest of three accused persons namely Naresh Chand, age 43 years R/o Pushp Vihar, Saket, Delhi, Vikram Singh, age 44 years R/o Khirki Village, Malviya Nagar, Delhi and Mukesh Trivedi, age 46 years R/o Paryavaran Complex, Saidullajab Village, Delhi, the team of PS Malviya Nagar, South District have worked out a case of conspiracy hatched by property dealer to rob a property buyer of his token money and recovered 41.76 lacs robbed cash.  
Brief facts :
On 10.07.17 at about 5 PM, a PCR call regarding loot of cash in Panchsheel Vihar, Malviya Nagar was received at PS Malviya Nagar. The complainant Sh. Rajesh Kumar R/o 226, Ashoka Enclave-III, Sector 34-35, Faridabad, Haryana reported that he along with his friends namely Manish, Arjun and Amit had come to Panchsheel Vihar, Malviya Nagar for executing a deal to purchase a plot, situated in Panchsheel Vihar.  He met one Ramesh @ Poonia who asked them to bring token money, if they want to see the original documents of the plots.  Accordingly, they brought 52.50 lacs rupees cash as token money and visited the plot location where one unknown person asked them to show the token money and they showed the same to him on the direction of Ramesh @ Poonia.  
Thereafter, Ramesh @ Poonia took them to the office of one property dealer whose shop is situated in Panchsheel Vihar itself in the name of “The Property Solution” where two unknown persons were already sitting.  After that they walked out of the office and at the same time 7/8 persons came inside the office of property dealer and one person who was already sitting in the office took out 8/10 bundles of old currency notes in 1000/500 denomination and started scolding/threatening them that they had come here to exchange the old currency notes.  After that they started abusing and threatening them. They started shouting for help but suddenly three of them took out pistols and threatened that they are from police department and snatched their mobile phones and car keys.  After that 2/3 boys went outside the shop, opened their Swift Dezire car and took out their bag containing 52.50 lac rupees from his Swift Dezire car and ran away with the bag containing money. The remaining boys dropped them near Select City Mall, Saket and fled with the money.  A case vide FIR No. 259/17 u/s 395/412 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at Malviya Nagar and investigation taken up.

Investigation :
During investigation, a police team comprising SI Naveen Kumar, SI Vineet, SI Deepak, SI Manoj Kumar, ASI Ved Prakash, HC Mukesh, HC Sandeep, HC Rajender and Ct. Kavinder led by Inspr. Satinder Sangwan, SHO/Malviya Nagar under the supervision of ACP/Hauz Khas was constituted.  The police team worked relentlessly and deployed sources to get clues about the culprits.  
The hard work of police team bore fruits when HC Mukesh received secret information that accused persons would assemble near DLF Mall, Saket to share the robbed cash.  On receipt of this information, the police team swung into action and a trap was laid at and around the spot and three accused namely Naresh Chand, age 43 years S/o Late Prakash Chand R/o Push Vihar, Sector-3, Saket, Delhi, Vikram Singh, age 44 years S/o Late Jagvir Singh R/o Khirki Village, Malviya Nagar, Delhi and Mukesh Trivedi, age 46 years S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Paryavaran Complex, Saidullajab Village, Delhi were arrested and robbed cash Rs. 41.76 lacs was recovered from their possession.  
Interrogation :
During interrogation, accused Vikram Chauhan disclosed that he along with other absconding associates namely Ramesh @ Poonia, Amit, Dharmender and Satish Chauhan, etc. had hatched a conspiracy to rob the cash of complainant when he will bring the same as token money to purchase a property in Panchsheel Vihar which was shown to him by Ramesh @ Poonia. The whole alleged deal to purchase the property was going to take place in the office of property dealer namely Satish Chauhan in Panchsheel Vihar. He further disclosed that when the complainant along with his friends reached in the office of Satish Chauhan, he along with his other associates overpowered them and robbed their cash Rs. 52.50 lacs. After that they handed over about 17 lacs rupees cash to accused Naresh Chand and Mukesh Trivedi to keep the same in safe custody for further distribution among them for which they were also paid some payment.  Raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining accused persons at their possible hideouts in Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshehar and Faridabad.
