Gang of ladies involved in theft at marriage functions and pick-pocketing busted

  • 2 accused arrested and 4 stolen mobile phones recovered.
  • 6 cases of theft solved.
With the arrest of two accused namely Sandhya, age 42 years r/o Distict Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Shabana, age 28 years r/o District Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, the police team of Special Staff, South District recovered 4 stolen mobile phones and solved 6 cases of theft.
Brief facts :
In view of recent theft cases in the last few months, In order to curb this crime, Special Staff, South District was assigned the task to identify and arrest the culprits committing crime in the area.  A police team comprising SI Gyanender Singh, ASI Rajbir Singh, Ct Naresh, Ct. Somdutt, Ct. Vaibhav and W/Ct. Poonam led by Insp. Jeet Singh, I/C Special Staff, South District under the close supervision of Sh. Palvinder Singh Chahal ACP/Ops. was constituted and sources were deployed to get clues about the culprits.
All the jail releases were scrutinized and Prisoner Maintenance System was effectively used and a list of all the desperate burglars who had recently released from the jail was compiled and close watch kept to track their movements. During this period, SI Gyanender and ASI Rajbir Singh got specific information that there is gang of lady thieves who are committing theft in South Delhi. After painstaking efforts on the specific tip off, accused Sandhya and Shabana were arrested from near Bus Stand, Kidwai Nagar, Ring Road, New Delhi and four stolen mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
Interrogation :
During interrogation, they initially tried to mislead the police party but later on disclosed to have committed various incidents of theft in the last several years. Intially, they were committing theft in marriage functions but later on also started pick pocketing in the local buses.  Further interrogation revealed that accused Sandhya is previously involved in 7 cases of theft in different police stations of Delhi. Accused Shabana has been declared Proclaimed Offender in case FIR No. 597/14 u/s 379 IPC P.S. Kotla Mubarak Pur.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
