MEMBER OF THE WELL ORGANIZED RACKET INVOLVED IN CIRCULATING FAKE/COUNTERFEIT INDIAN CURRENCY NOTES ARRESTED

RECOVERED:- Fake/Counterfeit Indian Currency Notes of Rs.2,000/- denomination amounting to Rs. 40,000/-.
The team of Special Staff/West District has arrested a person namely Mohammad Hussain, who is member of a well organized racket involved in circulating fake/ counterfeit Indian currency notes. At his instance 20 fake/counterfeited notes of Rs.2,000/- denomination have been recovered.  In this regard a case vide FIR No.422/17 dated 27/07/2017, U/s 489(B) & 489(C) IPC was registered in P.S. Rajouri Garden.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED:-
Mohammad Hussain S/o Babu Khan R/o Prem Nagar, Nabi Karim, Delhi, Age 42 years.  Initially, he started working as auto-rickshaw driver and came in the contact of Nadeem who used to smuggling drugs from Bihar and supply in different parts of Delhi. The accused was lured with the lifestyle of Nadeem and joined him in his illegal trade. He was arrested in case FIR No.159/12, U/s 25/21/65/85 NDPS Act, P.S. Hauz Quazi, Delhi and convicted for two years imprisonment. After releasing on bail he again came in contact of his associate Nadeem and the duo started illegal trade of fake/ counterfeit Indian currency notes.   
RECOVERY: -
20 Fake/Counterfeit Indian Currency Notes of Rs 2,000/- denomination amounting to Rs. 40,000/-.
INFORMATION/OPERATION: -
A secret information was received to HC Rupesh, posted in Special Staff/WD that a member of gang involved in supply of fake/counterfeit Indian currency notes, would come to West Gate Mall, Rajouri Garden Delhi. Immediately, the information was shared with senior officers and a team comprising of SI Sandeep Dabas, SI Sumer Singh, ASI Dipender Singh, ASI Dilbag Singh, HC Rupesh Kumar No. 573/W, HC Vikas No. 1720/W and Ct. Amit Kumar No. 2789/W led by Insp. Surender Sandhu, Special Staff/WD under overall supervision of Sh. Jagjit Sangwan, ACP/ Operations/WD was constituted to act promptly.

Accordingly, the team laid a trap at strategic locations at DDA ground near West Gate Mall, Rajouri Garden, Delhi and at around 8.45 PM, a person came on foot to the DDA ground from Ring Road side and started waiting for someone.  The informer identified that person as Md. Hussain. Immediately, the team swung into action and arrested him. On his personal search 20 notes of Rs.2,000/- denomination were recovered from his pocket. On checking carefully all the notes found to be fake/counterfeited. On enquiry about the fake/counterfeit currency he initially equivocated the team and could not give satisfactory reply.  But on sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he is a supplier of fake/counterfeit Indian Currency. In this regard a case vide FIR No.422/17, dated 27/07/2017, U/S 489(b) & 489 (c) IPC was registered in P.S. Rajouri Garden.

DISCLOSURE AND MODUS OPERANDI: -
On sustained interrogation, accused disclosed that he is a member of a well organized syndicate indulging in scanning, printing and circulating of fake/counterfeit Indian currency notes of higher value. He further disclosed that that he receives the fake/counterfeited currency from one Nadeem, a resident of Aligarh, U.P., who procures the same from Mujaffarpur Bihar. Nadeem was working as carrier of fake/counterfeit notes and he enticed the accused to circulate the fake/ counterfeit currency notes in the market.

The entire syndicates is functioning to cripple the economy of the country and to gain financial benefits. Further interrogation is in progress.  Raids are being conducted to completely deracinate the syndicate.
