Notorious thief of Delhi Metro Rail arrested

With the arrest of one notorious thief namely Shahzada Faarukh R/O Jhuggi Sunder Nagari, nand Nagari, Delhi the Delhi Metro Rail Police  has solved 12 cases of mobile theft  on 12.07.17.
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION
Keeping in view of recent incidents of mobile theft in Delhi Metro Rail, a Special Investigation Team has been constituted under the supervision of Insp. Rajeev Kumar SHO Police Station INA Metro to curb the incidents of theft and worked out the cases. The team consisting of ASI Ombir Singh, ASI Virender Singh, HC Rajesh Kumar, Const. Surendra and Const. Manjeet singh. The team was analysed the crime pattern in Metro Rail and further deployed their secret informer on different Metro Station. On 11.07.17 evening while ASI Omvir Singh alongwith Ct. Gangaram and Ct. Ranvijay were on patrolling duty at New Delhi Metro Station, a secret informer informed them that a notorious thief who used to commit crime in Metro train is waiting for someone to dispose off the stolen mobile phone near gate no.4 of New Delhi Metro Station. On this the team laid a raid and apprehended Shahzada Faarukh R/O Jhuggi Sunder Nagari, nand Nagari, Delhi with three stolen mobile phone.

INTERROGATION
Keeping the gravity of the recent incidents of theft in Delhi Metro Rail the accused was interrogated by a team comprising of ASI Ombir Singh, ASI Virender Singh, HC Rajesh Kumar, Const. Surendra and Const. Manjeet singh, under the close supervision of Insp Rajeev Kumar, SHO INA Metro, Delhi under overall supervision of the undersigned. During the sustained interrogation he confessed about his involvement in many cases. The raid has been conducted at his house where 3 more stolen mobile phone and some documents was recovered.
MODUS OPERANDI
During interrogation he disclosed that due to poverty he could not get education. He was associated with some bad elements of society since childhood and started committing theft. One day when he came to Rajeev Chowk Metro Station and saw the crowd. So he decided to commit theft in Metro Station. He used to come with different person at metro station and taking the advantage of crowd started pick pocketing. He used to dispose it to the unknown person on the busy railway station or ISBT by saying that he is in desperate need of money so he is selling his mobile phone on cheaper rate.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
