Wanted criminal and ‘BC’ of PS Palam Village, Delhi arrested

  • He was wanted in two cases of attempt to murder and extortion.
  • One sophisticated pistol with two live cartridges of 9 mm recovered.
Introduction
A team of South Western Range Crime Branch apprehended a wanted criminal namely, Vinod @ Vicky (36 yrs) r/o Sector-7 Dwarka, Palam Village Delhi. He was wanted in a case of attempt to murder and extortion. He is an active ‘Bad Character’ of PS Palam Village and has been convicted for life in a murder case.
Incident
On 23.07.17, an information was received by HC Anil Kumar of SWR Crime that one Vinod @ Vicky, who was a murder convict and wanted in a case of attempt to  murder of PS Palam Village, would come near Maxfort School Sector-7 Dwarka in his Accent car number DL- 2FBG 0061. On this information, a team of Insp PC Khanduri, SI Data Ram, SI Rohit, ASI Yudhvir Singh, ASI Virender, ASI Dinesh, ASI Bijender, ASI Hanuman, ASI Ravinder, ASI Pradeep and HC Anil was formed under the supervision of Shri Jasbir Singh, ACP/Crime. The team laid a trap and Vinod @ Vicky was arrested from crossing of Sector-6 & 7, Dwarka New Delhi. From his search, one sophisticated pistol of 9 mm and 2 live cartridges were recovered.  
A case under the appropriate sections of the law has been registered and concerned police station has been informed accordingly.
Profile and Interrogation of accused
           He was born in the year 1980 in a middle class family where his father was working as property dealer. He had left his studies. In the year 1996, he started working as a milk man. In year 2007-08, he left the work of milkman and  started doing his own business as a  property dealer. In the year 2009 he grabbed some part of Gram Sabha land in the area of Palam Village. However, some other resident of the Palam village also wanted to grab the same land. Due to this, some dispute arose between them. For this reason, in the year 2011 one day, he opened fire on Rajeev Goel and other persons to threaten them.  On which four different FIRs were got registered at PS Palam Village. In the same year i.e. 2011, he along with his two brothers committed murder of Balwan Solanki also a Bad Character of the area. In this case, he along with his two other brothers were convicted for life imprisonment.  

In the year 2015, when he was in jail, his cousin Sunil Pandit was murdered by some criminals. Vinod suspected that one Ravinder Solanki of Palam Village was behind his murder. Hence after coming out of the jail on bail from High Court, he along with his accomplice Joginder @ Pale and Sanserpal reached the office of Ravinder Solanki in Palam and fired upon him. Thereafter, Vinod and his associates threatened Rajeev Goel and demanded Rs 2 lakhs as protection money. In both these cases he had been absconding.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
