  CRIMINAL CHAND MOHD. @ MATRU @ AJJU FIRED 3 ROUNDS ON POLICE TEAM, 2 BULLETS FIRED IN RETURN BY POLICE TEAM.

  CHAND MOHD. WAS INVOLVED IN 14 CASES.

  ONE STOLEN MOTORCYCLE, ONE PISTOL AND FOUR LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED.

 On the intervening night of 04-05.07.2017 acting on a tip off, the team of Special Staff, South-East District has arrested one dreaded criminal namely Chand Mohd. @ Matru @ Ajju S/o Shakeel Ahmad  R/o H.No. 548, Gali No. 1, Khassi Mohalla, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, UP, aged 26 years, who was involved in 14 criminal cases. He was carrying a cash reward of INR 50,000/- declared by worthy Commissioner of Police, Delhi.   An exchange of fire took place at Khijrabad Village T-Point, near Delhi Lions Eyes Center, New Friends Colony, New Delhi. Chand Mohd. fired three rounds targeting the police team. Tworounds were firedby the police team in retaliation.   




INFORMATION,TEAM AND OPERATION

On 4.7.17, a secret information was received by ASI Sukhbir of special staff SED that a notorious criminal Chand Mohammad @ Matru would come to the Zakir Nagar area in order to meet some of his friends at about 1.30 am. The information was further verified by Insp. Rajinder Kumar I/C Special Staff/SED. Keeping in view, the gravity of information, a raiding team comprising of Insp. Rajender Kumar, SI Yogesh Kumar, SI Yogesh Kumar, ASI Sukhbir, ASI Tekchand, ASI Ravinder Kr., ASI Shyamvir, ASI Phool Singh, HC Vinod Kr., Ct. Amit Kr., Ct. Narender, Ct. Vishal and Ct./Driver Ajay was constituted under the overall supervision of ACP/Ops Sh. K.P Singh. The team started checking of the motorcycle riders on a picket near Khizrabad T Point in the area of New Friends Colony. At about 1.30 am, two persons coming on a motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar from Zakir Nagar area took a left turn to proceed towards Faridabad. Seeing the vehicle checking by police party, rider of the M/Cytook U-turn hurriedly in order to escape from the clutches of the Police team. As a result, he lost control over motorcycle and both the persons fell down. Both the accused started running towards Zakir Nagar when chased by SI Yogesh, ASI Sukhbir and other Police officials. Rider of the motorcycle took out his pistol and opened fire targeting the police party. The offender fired three rounds before he was apprehended. SI Yogesh and ASI Sukhbir also fired warning rounds. While Chand Md was caught, the pillion rider managed to escape taking the advantage of the cover fire by Chand Md. One sophisticated pistol along with four live cartridges and one stolen Bajaj Pulsar M/cycle bearing number DL-3SCH-9186was recovered from his possession. In this regard a case vide FIR No. 20117 u/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act dated 05.07.2017has been registered at P.S New Friends Colony, New Delhi and investigation taken up.   
PROFILE INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

                  Upon interrogation accused disclosed that he was born in 1991 and studied up to 2nd standard. Due to bad company since childhood, he left the school and indulged in petty street offences. He was booked in a criminal case in 2010. Later on, he indulged in several heinous offences. Since 2014 he could not be arrested in any case. He always carried firearms with him while committing theft/burglary/robbery or any crime. During further interrogation accused disclosed that the motive of using fire arms during robbery was to deter victims as well as bystanders from chasing them and to ensure easy escape with robbed items.
On sustained interrogation, he disclosed that in the first week of February 2017 he along with his associates Arif, Sazid and Zahid committed a robbery in the area of PS Jamia nagar and fired on the guard when he tried to resist them. Accused Arif was nabbed at the spot while he managed to escape along with his other associates. Since then he was at large. Subsequently a cash rewards of INR Rs. 50,000/- was declared on his arrest by the Worthy C.P./Delhi.
