MUNGER BASED INTERSTATE ILLEGAL ARMS SUPPLIER GANG BUSTED BY SPECIAL CELL AFTER A BRIEF ENCOUNTER AND 35 AUTOMATIC PISTOLS RECOVERED  
On 25/07/2017, a team of Special Cell, led by Inspr. Rajesh Sehrawat & Insp. Tilak Chand Bisht under the supervision of ACP/SWR Sh Akhileshwar Sawroop Yadav has apprehended two inter-state gun traffickers, namely  Mohd. Manouar r/o Dariapur, Munger, Bihar (age-26 yrs.) and Mohd. Shahid Alam r/o Distt. Munger, Bihar (age-21 yrs.), after a brief encounter. 35 High quality semi-automatic sophisticated Pistols, 69 magazines, 4 live cartridges of .32 calibre have been recovered from their possession.
OPERATION

In the recent past information has been received by Inspr Rajesh Sehrawat that a Munger based network is operating from Bihar has been indulging in manufacturing and supplying of illegal fire arms in the area of Delhi & NCR. Ground work was conducted on this information to materialize it. After  strenuous & untiring efforts to develop this, another information was received that a person namely Mohd. Manouar r/o Munger, Bihar is an active manufacturer and supplier of high quality illegal arms. On 25/07/2017 a specific tip off was received that at about 7:00 PM,  Mohd. Manouar along with his associate Mohd. Shahid Alam would come to deliver a large consignment of illegal country made pistols to one of their associates on Azadpur-Mukundpur Road near Outer Ring Road, Delhi. Accordingly, a team led by Inspr. Rajesh Kumar and Insp. Tilak Chand Bisht consisting of SI Manender Singh, SI Anuj Kumar, SI Somil Sharma, ASI Rambir No. 654/Spl. Cell, ASI Jaiprakash No. 1137/Spl. Cell, ASI Puran Chand, HC Bakar Raza No. 320/Spl. Cell, HC Ajay Singh, 240/Spl. Cell, HC Surender No. 692/Spl. Cell, Ct. Sonu Sharma No. 703/Spl.Cell and Ct. Pawan Bhati No. 466/Spl. Cell was formed to apprehend the criminals. At about 07.30 PM Mohd. Manouar along with his associate Mohd. Shahid Alam came at the spot on Mukundpur-Azadpur Road (towards metro-line side) about 300 meters away from Outer Ring Road, Delhi and waited there for someone. After about 15 minutes when they started to move, they were surrounded by raiding party. On being surrounded, immediately Mohd. Manouar started running towards open area on metro-line side and whipped out pistol. HC Ajay Singh, ASI Rambir, HC Mohd. Bakar Raza ran behind him, he fired aiming at HC Ajay Singh. Luckily the bullet hit the bullet-proof jacket of HC Ajay. At the same time, ASI Rambir and HC Mohd. Bakar Raza putting their lives in danger leaped towards Mohd. Manouar and overpowered him and snatched pistol from the right hand of Mohd. Manouar.  Four live cartridges were also recovered from the loaded pistol.  In the meanwhile, Inspr. Rajesh Kumar and ASI Jaiprakash overpowered Mohd. Shahid Alam alongwith back-pack bag. During their cursory search total 34 automatic pistols, 68 magazines were also recovered from their carry bags.  A case under the appropriate sections of law was registered at P.S. Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.


INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, accused Mohd. Manouar disclosed that he is involved in this illegal trade since last 3 years and Sonu a gun runner is operating the inter-state syndicate from Malda, West Bengal and Munger, Bihar. Mohd. Manouar along with Mohd. Shahid Alam were assigned the task of supplying the firearms to Delhi NCR & Western UP. During last 3 years Sonu has supplied more than 600 automatic high quality illegal pistols in Delhi, NCR and Western UP. Sonu is also suspected to be operating one arms manufacturing module. Mohd. Manouar, trusted aide of Sonu, also disclosed that he frequently visited in the Western UP area, especially Meerut region and Delhi & NCR areas and was overseeing the supply of illegal fire arms to this region.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED MOHD. MANOUAR
Accused Mohd. Manouar r/o Dariapur, Munger, Bihar (age-26 yrs.), hails from a low profile farmers’ family. He is school dropout. After dropping school he started a purse making craft unit in Kolkata and did this job for about 4 years. Thereafter, he manufactured purses in Mumbai for about 2-3 years. During a visit to his maternal uncle’s  house he came in contact with Sonu, who lured him to the trade of gun running for earning easy money. Since, he was in dire need of money, he agreed for the proposal in order to get rich overnight.
PROFILE OF MOHD. SHAHID ALAM
Accused Mohd. Shahid Alam r/o Distt. Munger, Bihar (age-21 yrs.) belongs to a family engaged in daily wage work. He is a student of 11th class in a College of Munger, Bihar. He was lured by Sonu as carrier to supply the firearms on payment of four thousand of rupees for each consignment of illegal firearms in Delhi from Munger, Bihar.

  1. 35 Sophisticated Semi-automatic pistols of .32 Bore
  2. 69 Magazines of .32 Bore
  3. 4 Live cartridges
  4. One fired cartridge found on spot

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
