KIDNAPPED GIRL AGED 2 YRS 4 MONTHS OF ODIYA PARENTS RESCUED WITHIN 24 HOURS

  • FATHER OF KIDNAPPED GIRL IS CONSTABLE IN BSF.
  • TWO LADIES KIDNAPPERS ARRESTED BY POLICE OF NEW DELHI RAILWAY STATION IN A SWIFT OPERATION.  
With the arrest of two ladies kidnappers the staff of PS New Delhi Railway Station has solved the kidnapping of a girl aged 2 years 4 months old, a daughter of Odiya parents, who were going on leave from Ferozpur, Punjab to their home in Odissa.  The father of the kidnapped girl is a constable in BSF.  Two arrested lady kidnappers are namely 1) Vishnu  2) Geeta.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:-
On 20.07.2017, Sh. Asit Nayak r/o, Odisha age-32 years came to police station around 09:30 A.M. and informed that he is a constable in BSF and presently posted in  Ferozpur, Punjab.  On the same morning he had come with his wife and daughter aged 2 yrs and 4 months from Ferozpur by Punjab Mail train and around 5:30 A.M. he de-boarded at platform No. 3, New Delhi Railway Station alongwith his wife and daughter. As he was proceeding on 15 days leave and had to board Bhubneshwar Duranto Express in the noon on the same day, hence he was waiting on platform No. 3, with his family and luggage.  His daughter was playing on the platform and he was keeping watch on her. The girl was roaming on platform and he was bringing her back and it occurred several times.  In the meantime it started raining and he was shifting his luggage on the dry space and while shifting of his luggage his daughter had gone again.  After sometime, when he realize about his daughter, he and his wife searched for her on that platform and then on other platforms of the railway station but could not find her.  Thereafter, the complainant reached at police station and told all these facts and a case FIR No. 628/2017 dt. 20.7.2017 u/s- 363 IPC was registered at the police station New Delhi Railway Station.  The investigation of the case was entrusted to ASI Shibu V.R.
A team constituting of Inspr. Akash Rawat SHO/PS NDRS, ASI Shibu, ASI Parmod, HC Sanjay, Ct. Satyajit and Lady Constable Saroj under the supervision of Ms. Meera Sharma, ACP/Railways/NDSD and overall supervision of the undersigned were formed immediately.  Intense search of the New Delhi Railway Station and adjoining areas were made. All the CCTV cameras installed at New Delhi Railway Station were watched.  After zeroing in on suspected persons a drive was initiated in search of kidnapped girl child and suspects.  The complainant was also kept in regular touch, secret sources were briefed and dossiers of criminals were also scrutinized. The search for the culprit was made on full swing.  On 21.7.2017, while the police team alongwith the complainant were searching for the kidnapped girl, at that time on the basis of tip off reached near Minto Bridge crossing on Bhavbhuti Marg and found the girl child with two ladies.  The complainant immediately identified his abducted daughter.   Both ladies were immediately apprehended by the lady constable of the police team and the girl child was rescued.

The names and addresses of both the ladies was revealed as  1) Vishnu 2) Geeta both residents of Delhi.  During the course of interrogation these ladies disclosed that they alongwith their children go to various railway stations in Delhi for begging.  In the morning of 20.7.2017, both of them alongwith their four children (three children of Geeta and one girl child of Vishnu) had come to New Delhi Railway Station for begging.  When all of them were walking through the foot over bridge (Sadar Bazar side) they noticed one small child walking alone on foot over bridge.  Their children started playing with that girl child and it was during that time they decided to take this child with them After taking the child with them they roamed here and there in areas like Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Daryaganj and Kamla Market and today when they had come near New Delhi Railway Station they were apprehended by police.
