INTER-STATE ILLEGAL GUN TRADING RACKET BUSTED

  • SUPPLIER OF ILLEGAL ARMS ARRESTED
  • 10 PISTOLS OF 9MM & 7.65 MM RECOVERED WITH 6 SPARE MAGAZINES.
    A team of Special Cell led by Inspr. Satendra Mohan under the supervision of Govind Sharma, ACP/SR, Special Cell has busted an Inter-State gang of illegal firearm trading racket and apprehended one person namely Idrish @ Tunda, aged 49 years r/o Distt. Muzaffarnagar, UP. A Total of 10 illegal semi-automatic sophisticated pistols (5 Pistols of 9 mm and 5 pistols of 7.65 mm) with 6 spare magazines have been recovered from the accused. The recovered weapons are engraved with “Made in USA” markings.
OPERATION
It had come to notice that arms manufacturers and suppliers from MP and Bihar are supplying sophisticated firearms in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas of UP. Accordingly, a team of Special Cell led by Inspector Satendra Mohan was deputed to identify the gang in Delhi & NCR. This team worked diligently and relentlessly by deploying informers in and around Delhi and UP West.
APPREHENSION
On 14.07.2017, specific information was received that the suppliers of illegal arms would come to Jafrabad, near Tent wala School, Delhi at about 10:30 to 11:30 PM to deliver a huge cache of semi-automatic weapons to his contacts. Accordingly, a trap was laid by the team of Insp. Satendra Mohan near Tent wala School, Jafrabad, Delhi. At about 10:50 PM, one person came on foot from Seelampur side and stood near near Tent wala School, Jafrabad, Delhi. He was carrying black colour bag on his left shoulder. He was waiting for someone. After some time when no one turned up and he was about to leave, at about 11:00 PM, he was overpowered and apprehended. He was identified as Idrish @ Tunda r/o Distt. Muzaffarnagar, UP.
On checking the black colour bag of accused Idrish @ Tunda, 10 semi-automatic sophisticated pistols with 6 spare magazines were recovered. A case vide FIR No. 50/17 dated 15.07.2017 u/s 25 Arms Act, PS Special Cell, New Delhi has been registered.  
INTERROGATION
Interrogation of Idrish @ Tunda revealed that these weapons were collected by him from a manufacturer in Sendhwa, Distt. Badwai, MP and the same were to be supplied to various contacts in Delhi NCR and western UP. During interrogation accused Idrish @ Tunda, admitted that he had previously supplied  weapons in Delhi NCR and UP West to different criminals on several occasions.
PROFILE OF CRIMINAL:
Idrish @ Tunda was born in 1968 in Distt. Muzaffarnagar, UP. He studied up to 8th Standard.   He belongs to very poor family. He is a vegetable vendor. Being unable to make sufficient earnings, he came in contact with arms traffickers and criminals of Delhi, NCR and western UP. Thereafter, he started supplying illegal arms to local criminals. He is involved in about 10 cases of theft etc registered in the police stations of Delhi and UP.  He used to collect the illegal semi-automatic pistols from manufacturer of Sendhwa, Distt. Barwani, MP on the directions of local arms traffickers/criminals and further supplied to them in Delhi, NCR and UP.  
His previous involvements are being verified from his local police station.

Forward and backward linkages are yet to be ascertained. Investigation is in progress.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang.
