TWO MORE ACCUSED ARRESTED IN KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM OF RS. 25 CRORES

In a sensational case of kidnapping for ransom  in which a doctor namely Vinod Kumar Verma along with his compounder Ajay were abducted by the assailants on the night of 12.09.16 for getting ransom of Rs. 25 Crores, the staff of PS Jaitpur has arrested two more accused persons namely 1) Ram Prakash S/o Late Sh. Bhikam Singh R/o Village Pachon, P.S. Sikandra Rao, District Hathrash, UP age 47 Years and 2) Amir Chand S/o  Late Sh. Rajaram Village Singhanpur, P.S. Kampil, District Farukhabad, UP, age 56 years.  
INCIDENT

On the afternoon of 13.09.16, one Dr. Anand Prakash Verma r/o Sector 37, Faridabad, Haryana reported that on the night of 12-13/09/16, his son Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma who ran a medical centre at Saurabh Vihar, Jaitpur, Delhi was coming back home along with his compounder Ajay in his car but did not reach home. He suspected that somebody had kidnapped them. Subsequently, a case of abduction vide FIR No. 524/16 was registered at PS Jaitpur. On the next day i.e. 14.09.16 at 12:30 PM, a ransom call from the mobile phone of victim Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma was received on the mobile of complainant in which Rs. 25 crores were demanded for the release of both the hostages.

TEAM, INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION
Seeing the gravity of the case, teams of South East District was formed under the supervision of Shri Rajeev Ranjan Addl.DCP-I/SE and Shri M. Harshvardhan Addl.DCP-II/SE and overall supervision of the DCP/SED and arrested seven accused persons namely (1) Mukesh (2) Manish (3) Gaurav (4) Rahul (5) Vipin (6) Chattar Pal and (7) Ram Besh @ Parvesh.  
During interrogation of the accused persons, it was revealed that  more accused persons were also involved in this case.  Accordingly a team of P.S. Jaitpur, South East District consisting of Insp. Mohar Singh, SHO/Jaipur, Sub Inspr. Lalit Kumar, Sub Insp. Pravesh, HC Rajender, HC Nirdesh and Ct Dharmender was formed under the supervision of Shri Ashok Saroha, ACP/SVR and overall supervision of the undersigned.

During police custody remand and on the basis of inputs, the said police team conducted several raids at the locations disclosed by the accused persons in Etah and Hathrash, U.P. and finally succeeded in nabbing another two accused persons namely Amir Chand and Ram Prakash. Accused Amir Chand was arrested in the  case from Farukhabad (UP) on 22.9.16 and accused Ram Prakash was arrested in this case from Etah (UP) on 2.10.16.
During interrogation of the said two accused persons, it was revealed that they were living in their native village and were in dire need of money. Accused Ram Prakash received a call from accused Rishi regarding kidnapping of the Doctor & Compounder. Accused Ram Prakash met his associate at Sikandrao, UP. He boarded in the car. They taken the Doctor and the Compounder to Etah, UP and handed over both of them to their associates Pramod, Shyamlal, Guddu etc. and took them in a sugar cane field, Aliganj, UP. They kept on shifting the captives during night in the remote area of Vill. Singhanpur, Sinauli, Kampil, Kayamganj etc. where accused Amir Chand met them. Accused Amir Chand sheltered the hostages and their associates near his native village. When they felt that several police teams have covered them, they decided to leave that place without taking any ransom amount.

PROFILE

Accused Amir Chand is semi literate and accused Ram Prakash studied up to B.Sc. (Bio Science).  Both the accused are doing labour work.
