POLICE CUSTODY ABSCONDER ARRESTED IN 72 HOURS BY NORTH WEST DISTRICT POLICE

ARRESTED BY P.S JAHANGIR PURI, NORTH WEST DISTRICT DELHI   

          The staff of P.S Jahangir Puri of North West District has arrested absconder namely Wasim S/o Mohd. Izahar R/o Jhuggi No.N-38/A-226, CD Park, Jahangir Puri, Delhi,  from police custody in case  u/s 363/376 IPC & 06 POCSO Act  & Case FIR No.389/16 u/s 392/411/34 IPC, P.S Jahangir Puri. Consequently Case FIR No.761/16 u/s 224 IPC P.S Prashant Vihar was registered against the said accused for absconding from police custody. 

INCIDENT:-On 09/10/2016, a case  was registered in the P.S Jahangir Puri on the statement of  the complainant wherein she suspected that above said accused Wasim has enticed away her minor daughter. On secret information, said accused was arrested from Railway Station Delhi while he was purportedly flying away with the abducted girl. After due custodial interrogations, he was also arrested in FIR No.389/16 u/s 392/411/34 IPC, P.S Jahangir Puri where he was running wanted. After due investigation, he was being producing him in the court on the day of  Dussehra i.e. 11/10/16 but he forcefully released himself from the custody of constable and fled away. For which case FIR No.761/15 u/s 224 IPC P.S Prashant Vihar was got registered. 
Police parties from P.S Jahangir Puri  SHO/Jahangir Puri and ATO Jahangir Puri under the close supervision of ACP/Jahangir Puri Sh. Prashant Guatam (IPS) was constituted. Jahangirpuri police took the incident as a challenge and started  looking  out the accused on war scale. All the staff  including office staff of the police station was on toes for catching the absconding accused Wasim. The complainant lodged a  complaint at police station stating that the accused visited her Jhuggi with some dagger/knife and threatened them to withraw their rape/POCSO case else be ready for consequences. The police raised the alertness levels and civil uniform policemen were deputed near the victim’s residence. Informers were activated  in the area for hour to hour information. It took almost 72 hours to zero in the accused as such on 14-10-2016,  information was received at police station that the accused Wasim is seen  roaming near Shah Alam Bandh road area of PS Jahangir Puri. The police team including reader section and summon service cells rushed towards the place and spotted the accused there. The accused tried to escape but could not succeed . One spring actuated knife and a dagger were recovered from his possession at the time of arrest for which case FIR No.582/16 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act P.S Jahangir Puri has  been registered.
  
INTERROGATION: During sustained and  interrogation, he has confessed his involvement in case FIR No.356/16 u/s 457/380/411/34 IPC P.S Mahindra Park along with his associates namely Jainel @ Gofra, Ahshaan @ Pocha, Kalu and Vinod and  Case FIR No.389/16 u/s 392/411/34 IPC, P.S Jahangir Puri, Delhi.
