TWO ACCUSED PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF ADULTRATED SWEETS

HUGE QUANTITY OF ADULTRATED MAWA (APPROXIMATELY FIVE QUINTALS) HAS BEEN RECOVERED.

BRIEF FACTS: Exhibiting brilliant investigation skills and professional competence, the Outer District Police comprising staff of P.S. Aman Vihar achieved a major success by arresting two accused persons namely Ramesh S/o Sh. Har Narayan R/o C-256, Gali No 12, Gaurav Nagar, Budh Bazar Road, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi and co-accused Mukesh Kumar S/o Sh. Suresh Chand R/o H. No. 59, Sunehra, Village & P.O. Fatehpur Sikri, Tehsil kirawali, District Agra, U.P and recovered about five quintals of adulterated Mawa/sweet prepared for the sale in the festival of Diwali.
INCIDENT: -
On 27.10.16 a secret information was received through Ct. Omprakash No. 1374/OD regarding preparation of adulterated Mawa in area of Agar Nagar, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi and the information was passed to SDM Rohini Delhi and Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi. A team was constituted comprising of SI Jitender Joshi, I/C PP Prem Nagar, Ct. Om Prakash No. 1374/OD, Ct. L. Bhargav No. 3086/OD under the leadership of Inspr. Surya Prakash, SHO Aman Vihar and overall supervision of Sh. Saurabh Chandra, ACP Sultanpuri. The raid was conducted with Sh. Tapan Jha, SDM Rohini along with Sh. Satish Kumar Gupta (Designated Officer, Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi), Sh. SP Singh (Food Safety Officer Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi), Sh. Subedar Mishra (Field Assistant Department of Food Safety, Govt. of Delhi) on 27.10.16 at 1.00 PM. During raid premises H. No C-275 Gali No 3, Agar Nagar, Som Bazar Road, Prem Nagar III, Kirari, Delhi was inspected. The preparation of sweets was being done in very unhygienic and unhealthy conditions. Prepared sweets were smelling stinky and seem to be adulterated.  One person namely Ramesh S/o Sh. Har Narayan R/o C-256, Gali No 12, Gaurav Nagar, Budh Bazar Road, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi was found there, who was preparing sweets.  During enquiry it came to be known that the above person himself was running the said business of preparing Mawa Sweets. The environment was found to be hazardous to health and precious lives of human beings.  The above said act on part of the above person is malignant and likely to spread infection of diseases.  Sh. S.P. Singh (Food Safety Officer) collected the samples from the material available for further examination.
MODUS OPERANDI: -The modus operandi of the accused persons was that they use to prepare Milk Cake and other sweets using synthetic milk, suzi, cheap oil and harmful colours.
ARREST
A case FIR No. 1193/16, Dt. 27.10.16, U/s 269/270/272 IPC was registered at P.S. Aman Vihar, Delhi into the written complaint of SDM Rohini and investigation was taken up. During investigation accused (1) Ramesh S/o Sh. Har Narayan R/o C-256, Gali No 12, Gaurav Nagar, Budh Bazar Road, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi and co-accused (2) Mukesh Kumar S/o Sh. Suresh Chand R/o H No. 59, Sunehra, Village & P.O. Fatehpur Sikri, Tehsil Kirawali, District Agra, U.P were arrested.
INTERROGATION: - Accused Ramesh S/o Sh. Har Narayan R/o C-256, Gali No 12, Gaurav Nagar, Budh Bazar Road, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi was interrogated at length and on sustained interrogation he confessed his crimeand co-accused Mukesh Kumar S/o Sh. Suresh Chand R/o H No. 59, Sunehra, Village & P.O. Fatehpur Sikri, Tehsil kirawali, District Agra, U.P was arrested in the case.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
