MASTERMIND FUGITIVE ACCUSED JAI BHAGWAN IN SENSATIONAL ATTEMPT TO MURDER-CUM-ABDUCTION FOR RANSOM CASE OF A TRANSPORTER ARRESTED

  • THE ACCUSED IS ASSOCIATED WITH DESPERATE ANIL GANJA-PRADEEP BABLOO GANG OF INTERSTATE CRIMINALS & PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN SIX CRIMINAL CASES OF KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, ARMS ACT AND RAPE.  
  • ACCUSED PERSONS ABDUCTED THE VICTIM FROM VASANT KUNJ AREA, DEMANDED EXTORTION MONEY OF RS. 10 LAC AND THREW HIM AWAY NEAR DHANSA BORDER AFTER STRANGULATION ASSUMING HIM TO BE DEAD.  
INTRODUCTION: -
Crime Branch has arrested a fugitive criminal Jai Bhagwan @ JB (29 yrs) s/o Ranbir Singh r/o H.No. C-27, C Block, Nangal Devat, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, who was mastermind and wanted in a sensational case of attempt to murder-cum-abduction for ransom of PS Vasant Kunj (North) dated 07.06.2016, in which, he alongwith his two associates had abducted a transporter Ashok Sehrawat r/o Nangal Devat from Vasant Kunj (North) area and demanded extortion money of Rs. 10 lac from him and threw him away near Dhansa Border after strangulation, assuming him to be dead. Fortunately, victim Ashok survived and a case of abduction-cum-attempt to murder was registered at PS Vasant Kunj (North) on his complaint. The arrested accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB is associated with desperate interstate gang of Anil Ganja and Pradeep Babloo, who are running in judicial custody.    
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: -
         A secret information was received by HC Satpal Singh that accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB, who was wanted in a sensational abduction-cum-attempt to murder case of PS Vasant Kunj (North), would come near Pulia of Jharoda Kalan Village to meet his aides. This information was further developed and a team of South Western Range, Crime Branch led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat, consisting of Insp. Yashpal Singh, HCs Satpal, Randhawa, Govind, Mahesh Tyagi, Cts Ravinder, Badri Prasad and Rahul Kumar was constituted under the close supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and under overall guidance of Addl. CP K.K. Vyas to nab the culprit. A trap was laid near expected place of his arrival and the accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB was successfully apprehended and arrested u/s 41.1 (A) CrPC.
INTERROGATION & DISCLOSURE: -
   During interrogation, Jai Bhagwan @ JB disclosed that he belongs to a middle class family of Village Nangal Devat, Vasant Kunj and has studied upto high school. Thereafter, he came in contact with Pradeep @ Babloo of his own village, who was an active member of Manoj Morkhedi - Anil Ganja gang and joined the gang in order to earn fame and quick money.
In March, 2011, the accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB alongwith his gang members and desperate gangsters Manoj Morkhedi, Anil Ganja, Pradeep Babloo and others abducted one Mohit Hooda r/o Rohtak, a lecturer in PDM College, Bahadurgarh, in his Cruz car on gun point from outside PDM College and demanded Rs.50 lac for his safe release. Accordingly, a case of kidnapping for ransom was registered at PS City Bahadurgarh and the accused persons were arrested in this case.
After coming out of jail in the above case, the accused started participating actively in gang activities with Pradeep Babloo and remained involved in several other cases of attempt to murder, Arms Act and rape etc. of PS Chhawla, Najafgarh and Vasant Kunj (South).
The gangsters Manoj Morkhedi and Anil Ganja are presently lodged in jail and provisions of MCOCA have been invoked against them, while the other gang member Pradeep @ Babloo is running in judicial custody in a murder case of Darshan Sehrawat of PS IGI Airport. In order to provide financial help to his gang members, who are running in jail and to pursue their cases, the accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB started threatening the wealthy people of the locality to extort money from them.          

On 05.06.2016, Jai Bhagwan, alongwith accused Nitin Malik and Jonny, planned to extort money from a transporter of his village namely Ashok s/o Sukhbir Singh. As per planning, the accused persons called Ashok at about 11:00 am to organise a party and made him to overdrink. They also gave him narcotic substances and thereafter asked him to pay extortion money of Rs. 10 lac. When he denied, the accused persons strangulated him and threw him near Dhansa Border assuming him to be dead. Fortunately, he survived and reached home at Village New Nangal Devat in the morning and got a case registered at PS Vasant Kunj (North) against the accused persons Nitin Malik, Jai Bhagwan and Jonny.  Later on, the accused Nitin Malik @ Bhanja was arrested by the Crime Branch, while the accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB and Jitender @ Jonny were absconding. The accused Jai Bhagwan @ JB has been arrested and efforts are being made to arrest accused Jonny.
