FAKE INDIAN COINS WORTH Rs. 40000/= RECOVERED BY AATS, OUTER DISTRICT

  • During the surprise vehicle checking near Shree Balaji Mandir Dividing Road Sec. 11/17 Rohini, Delhi one Swift Dezire car Grey Colour having Registration No-HR19J4202 was surprisingly checked by AATS Staff during anti auto theft picket checking and found two plastic bags having 20 packets each of counterfeited  Indian Coins each packets contains 100 coins.  

  • One person namely Naresh Kumar S/o Om Prakash R/o H No-H-5/15, 2nd Floor, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi. Age-42 Years was arrested by AATS Staff Outer District who is involved in counterfeited coins supply business since 2014.

INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS:

  • Special Anti Auto Theft Picket checking was conducted by AATS Outer District near Shree Balaji Mandir, Dividing Road Sec- 11/17 Rohini, Delhi by three Head Constables namely HC Raj Kumar No-222/OD, HC Neeraj No-2862/OD, HC Dalbir No-102/OD Alongwith two Constables Ct. Deepak No-3474/OD and Ct. Rakesh No-1123/OD. At 01.40 PM one suspected Grey Colour Swift Dezire car having Registration No-HR 19 J -4202 was coming from Shahbad Dairy side was randomly checked and during the checking, the driver of car Naresh Kumar S/o Om Prakash R/o H No-H-5/15, 2nd Floor, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi, Age-42 Years tried to make an impression of an officer of Punjab National Bank. When staff asked for his Identity Card he refused to show the same.  During the course of checking of vehicle, two plastic bags having 20 packets each of counterfeited Indian Coins each packet contains 100 coins having a value of 40000/= Indian Rupees was found.  
TEAM & INVESTIGATION
As per the instructions of the senior officers a special picket for the purpose of Anti Auto theft was installed near Shree Balaji Mandir Dividing Road Sec. 11/17 Rohini, Delhi for checking of the incoming vehicles from Shahbad Dairy to Rohini area.
During the checking, the driver of car namely Naresh Kumar S/o Om Prakash R/o H No-H-5/15, 2nd Floor, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi,  Age-42 Years, introduced himself as an officer of Punjab National Bank. When staff asked for his Identity Card he refused to show the same. During the course of checking of vehicle, two plastic bags having 20 packets each of counterfeited Indian Coins each packet contains 100 coins having a value of 40000/- Indian Rupees found in the booty of the said car. On finding the counterfeit Indian currency coins, the above said case was got registered and further investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation accused Naresh Kumar was arrested and he disclosed that two persons namely Sonu and Raju are running a factory at Bawana Industrial area where counterfeited coins of Rupees 5 & 10 are being minted. One person namely Rajesh Kumar is the manager of that factory and he knows the hideout of all the three persons in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. He can identify the factory in which counterfeited coins are being minted.
A team of AATS, Outer District, Delhi comprising of SI Ram Kumar No. D-2142, HC Raj Kumar No-222/OD, HC Neeraj No-2862/OD, HC Dalbir No-102/OD Alongwith Constable Ct. Deepak No-3474/OD and Ct. Rakesh No-1123/OD was constituted under supervision of Insp. Samar Pal Singh and overall supervision of Sh. Dharamvir Singh, ACP Operations, Outer District.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:
During interrogation, accused revealed that he started his car accessories shop at Charkhi dadri (Hr) after finishing his studies up to 12th standard. During the course of getting loose coins for the business, he came in contact with two persons namely Sonu and Raju. Who used to deliver him required coins of denomination of Rs.5/- and 10/- at his shop. After some time, both Raju and Sonu gave him a plan of supplying counterfeit Indian currency coins on the commission basis. He started supplying the fake counterfeit Indian currency coins of the denomination of Rs. 5/- and 10/- provided by Raju and Sonu. After some time Sonu and Raju wind up their business and fled away.  Accused also disclosed that Sonu and Raju again started their business of minting counterfeit coins at Delhi and accordingly invited for the supply at their place. He agreed and came to Delhi for the purpose of supply of counterfeit coins. He also confessed to identify the locations where the counterfeited coins were prepared, stored and distributed accordingly.
PROFILE:

Naresh Kumar S/o Om Prakash R/o H No-H-5/15, 2nd Floor, Sector-11, Rohini, Delhi, Age-42 has studied upto 12th standard. He started his business of car accessories at Charkhi Dadri HR. Due to losses in the business and huge loan on his head he joined hands with Sonu and Raju for easy money by supplying the counterfeited coins to innocent people.
