TWO CONTRACT KILLERS ARRESTED

  • ONE OF THEM JOGINDER KUMAR IS A BC OF PS KALKAJI, BELONGING TO RANJEET S/O NAHAR SINGH GANG.
  • INVOLVED IN MORE THEN 100 CASES.
  • COMPLAINANT SANTOSH KUMAR TRIPATHY IS A POLITICIAN AND ASPIRING MLA CANDIDATE IN UTTAR PRADESH.
Crime Branch has apprehended two desperate criminals Joginder Kumar s/o Fakir Chand and Jeetu Kumar s/o Sukhram both r/o Vishwarnath Gali, Sabzi Mandi, Delhi, wanted in case FIR No.402/16 u/s 336/307/120B/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS Bharat Nagar, Delhi.
INCIDENT: -
Mr. Santosh Kumar Tripathy alleged that on 25.08.16 after completing his work in his transport company located in Bhalaswa Dairy at around 11:45 PM, he was going to Daya Basti, where some unidentified persons shot at his car with intention to kill him.
While working on this case, Crime Branch received an information that the persons, who had fired at Santosh Kumar Tripathy are Joginder Kumar and Jeetu Kumar. The information was further developed and it was revealed that Joginder Kumar is a desperate criminal and is a BC of PS Kalkaji and is involved in more than 100 cases of theft, robbery, dacoity and Arms Act.  He is also involved in a case, where he fired at the police party from PS Khyala in the year 2010. A specific information was received that the accused persons would come near Red Fort, where Ram Lila is being held.   
On this information, a team comprising of ACP N.K. Meena, Inspr. Ashish Kumar Dubey, SI Vineet, ASIs Ajit, Ajay, HCs Jitender, Rajeev, Praveen, Rakesh, Vipin, Shahir Khan, Sudhir, Joginder, Anil, Cts. Praveen, Nishant and Karnal was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and under over all supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas to nab them.  
Accordingly, a trap was laid at Shanti Van Road opposite Petrol Pump and both the accused persons were apprehended at the instance of the secret informer.
INTERROGATION: -
On sustained interrogation, both the accused persons confessed their guilt.  It was revealed that one Dashrath Mishra s/o Ram Bhoj, who worked with the transport company of Sh. Santosh Kumar Tripathy and was also his close relative, was nursing a grudge against him as he had not only thrown him out of the job rendering him jobless but had also insulted him in front of the staff.
Dashrath Mishra was also involved in case vide FIR No.857/15 u/s 308/34 IPC, PS Roop Nagar and used to meet Joginder Kumar in the Court during their court dates. There he befriended Joginder Kumar and coaxed him to murder Santosh Kumar Tripathy for a “Supari” of Rs.5,00,000/- to which Joginder Kumar agreed.  He paid Rs. 50,000/- to Joginder Kumar as Peshgi.
Joginder Kumar then lured Jeetu Kumar into the act and paid him Rs. 5,000/-, who accompanied him on the scooty. Jeetu Kumar was driving the scooty when Joginder Kumar fired at Santosh Kumar Tripathy.

  1. Joginder Kumar is a permanent resident of Kalkaji, Delhi. He has 4 children and his wife in his family. Due to poverty he started working as a labourer in Delhi but he was not contented with his earnings as he was unable to make his both ends meet. He started indulging in Auto Thefts. Thereafter, he joined Ranjeet s/o Nahar Singh gang, a desperate robber and murderer. He was also befriending lot of girls and stole many cars just to impress upon them. He is also a declared BC of PS Kalkaji.

  1. Jeetu is basically from Uttar Pradesh. He is living in Delhi for last 10/12 years.  Presently, he was living with Joginder Kumar as his tenant.  As he is illiterate, he started working as a labourer. Around one month back, his friend Joginder Kumar told him about a work by which they could earn huge money and accordingly committed the present contract killing. He got Rs. 5000/- as his share for this. He is also previously involved in case FIR No. 439/16 u/s 323/341/34 IPC PS Bharat Nagar, Delhi.

A CHRONIC CHEAT AND PROCLAIMED OFFENDER IN MORE THAN 13 CASES ARRESTED

The PO Staff of PS Rani Bagh, North West District has arrested one Brij Bhushan Sharma S/O Shri Ghan Shyam Sharma R/O 776/14, Sec-14, Faridabad, Haryana, a chronic cheat and a proclaimed offender (PO) in more than 13 cases on 15.12.2015. The issue of arrest/tracing of POs has always remained top priority of policing. A dedicated team is formed in each police station and is assigned the task of apprehending POs declared by various courts of law.  The progress made is also periodically discussed and monitored by Courts and senior officers in meetings.  DCP/NW had also directed staff to pay special attention to tracing of POs.  As a result the staff of North West District has arrested 176 POs during the current year.   The team consisting of HC Rajesh Rana, No.192/NW, Ct Pawan, No.1398/NW and Ct.
