A GANG OF EXTORTIONISTS ARRESTED

  • EXTORTION CALL BY THREATENING TO  UPLOAD OBSCENE VIDEO OF VICTIM
  • TWO PERSONS ARRESTED
  • With the arrest of two criminals, police of East District has solved a case of extortion. The arrested accused persons are:
  1. Rajeev Gupta S/o Ram Kishan R/o H no.  C-152, Ist Floor, Anand Vihar, Delhi.
  1. Akash Pathak S/o Romesh Chand R/o D/170 2nd floor Anand Vihar, Delhi.

INCIDENT : On 08/10/2016, a lady complainant report that she is receiving threatening calls on her mobile phone and someone is demanding Rs. 10 lacs, else wise he will upload/spread her photographs and video on social media and to the family members. Immediately, a case vide FIR 465/16 U/s 387/ IPC was got registered.
TEAM AND INVESTIGATION : A team under the leadership of Insp. Vijay Sharotriya, SHO/Anand Vihar comprising of SI Vineet, Ct. Nitin, Ct. Sunil Ct Jai Narayan and Wct. Waseema was constituted under the overall supervision of Shri Surendra Choudhary,ACP Vivek Vihar. The team collected the manual and technical information & surveillance to crack down the case and tracked the location of the caller. Based on the location and identity provided, the team laid a trap near the railway terminal and arrested Akash Pathak S/o Ramesh Chand R/o D/170 Anand Vihar, Delhi.

          
INTERROGATION: During investigation accused Akash Patahk confessed his involvement in the said case along with his co-associate Rajeev Gupta R/o C-152 Anand Vihar, Delhi who was also arrested on his instance. Accused Rajeev gupta further disclosed that he was an employee at a restaurant. He along with accused Akash made a plan to extort money from the complainant. As per plan, accused Akash registered a false lost report of his mobile phone and further used this mobile phone for making extortion calls to the complainant after inserting a another sim.

RECOVERY
  1. Two pen drives allegedly containing  some obscene videos/photographs.
  2. Four Mobile phones used to commit the crime.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
