TWO MEMBERS OF A NOTORIOUS GANG INDULGING IN HUMAN TRAFFICKING FOR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION ARRESTED

  • THE GANG LURES INNOCENT GIRLS FROM RURAL AREAS OF NORTH EASTERN STATES AND PUSH THEM INTO IMMORAL TRAFFICKING.
The Central Range of Crime Branch has apprehended two Nepali nationals namely (1) Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi @ Sumeet Rana, a rewardee of Rs.50000/- and (2) Rem Bahadur Uchahi @ Dipak running a notorious gang of human traffickers, from Munirka, Delhi. They were wanted in the case FIR No.138/16, u/s 370(1)/120B/34 IPC & section 3/5 ITP Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi. The accused persons are resident of Nepal, who, with the help of their associates, used to lure innocent girls from the rural areas of North Eastern states i.e. Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, etc. on the pretext of arranging good jobs with handsome salary in Delhi. Their associates targeted the girls, who were living separately from their parents and were in need of sustaining themselves.   
INCIDENT: -
On 06.08.2016 a case FIR No. 138/16, u/s 370(1)/120B/34 IPC & section 3/5 ITP Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi was registered on the complaint of an 18 yrs old girl of the rural area of Distt. East Garohills, Meghalaya.  She came to Guwahati to seek Job and got in the contact of one Ms Kebi Manda who assured her of good job and brought her to Delhi. Kebi Manda handed over this girl to one Nikhil Nepali @ Kamal Uchahi through Dhanraj who forced her into prostitution in the area of Kotlamubarakpur, South Extension New Delhi.  Anyhow, the girl escaped from the clutches of these Human Traffickers and got registered this case.  
Ms. Radhika Marak had been arrested in this case from Guwahati on 15.08.2016 and still running in J.C. at Tihar Jail, Delhi.  Later, in the last month one more lady Ms. Keballina M. Sangma @ Kebi Manda, who lured the victim in the name of getting him handsome salary in a beauty parlor in Delhi, was arrested on 21.02.2017 from Manali, HP,  after a long chase in Assam, Meghalaya and other North East States.  She is also running in J.C.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: -
The investigation of the case was carried out by working hard continuously and meticulously to nab the kingpin Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi who was running the Sex Racket in South Delhi using innocent poor girls from the North East States.
04.03.2017 Inspector Ram Niwash received a specific information about the presence of the wanted accused Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi @ Sumeet Rana and consulted with senior officers. A team lead by Inspector Ram Niwash consisting of SI Sumit Malik, ASIs Kallu Singh, Sanjay Tyagi, HC Sushil Kumar, Cts Pradeep Kumar, Manoj, Deepak, Dharmendra and W/Ct. Sonam was constituted on the directions of ACP Shri Sandeep Lamba and direct supervision of Shri Rajesh Deo, DCP/Crime Narcotics and proceeded to Munirka Delhi. After sustained efforts & waiting for almost 5 hours, the wanted accused Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi @ Sumeet Rana spotted near Anupam Restaurant, Munirka with another accused Rem Bahadur @ Dipak.  While empowering the rewarded accused Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi, the co accused Rem Bahadur ran away in a car standing opposite side of the road.  After a big chase till Badarpur Border and back to Munirka, the co-accused Rem Bahadur Uchahi @ Dipak too was arrested from Munirka, Delhi. Both of them were produced before the Magistrate on 05.03.2017 for taking PC Remand.  During further investigation in police custody they disclosed the names of some of their associates who used to provide them the girls for prostitution. Due to security and safety reasons for further investigation, their names cannot be disclosed here.  Various raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of the associates, but as soon as the accused persons were arrested, their associates became alert and left their places. Search of the other associates is on and soon they too will be apprehended.

  1. Nikhil @ Kamal Uchahi @ Sumeet Rana, age 34 yrs and (2) Rem Bahadur uchahi @ Dipak age 37 Yrs, both S/o Ram Bahadur, R/o 578/32, Village Rozangsha, P.O. Khidim Pokhrathok, Distt. Ardhakhanchi, Ward-7, State Lumbini Nepal.  Nikhil came to India in the year 2002, worked in hotels, dhabas as cook.  During his stay he learned driving, got DL and started driving taxi.  In this line in 2013, he came in touch with Biru & Jivan who used to run sex racket in South Extn., Kotla and south Delhi.  He started supplying the girls to the customers of Biru.  After having quarrel with Biru and Jivan, he started his own sex racket and used to received girls from Dhanraj, Kusum, Suraj.  They all left him except Dhanraj who used to bring girls from Guwahati with the help of his girl friend Keballina M. Sangma @ Kebi Manda, who too has been arrested in this case on 21.02.2017 from Manali. Nikhil was assisted in this racket by his elder Brother Rem Bahadur Uchahi @ Dipak who used to put his mobile numbers on the social sites as Escort Services, receive customer on phone Whatsapp, forward this information to Nikhil @ Kamal who used to attend the customers and supply girls to them, sometimes on full night basis and sometimes on Short time basis at the rented flat in Kotlamubarakpur, near South Extension Delhi.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
