“International Women’s Day”

  • Delhi Police and YOUWECAN initiates “Breast Cancer Screening and Gynaecological Examination” camp for Delhi Police women staff and Delhi Police families on the occasion of “International Women’s Day”.
Delhi Police Operations unit has initiated ‘Breast Cancer Screening and Gynaecological Examination’ drive today on ‘International Women’s Day’ occasion for all Delhi Police women staff and for Delhi Police families in association with ‘YOUWECAN’ a Yuvraj Singh (cricketer) foundation dedicated for Cancer care and health awareness, at Community Centre, DCP/PCR office, Model Town, New Delhi. This drive will be carried forward to all the police colonies and units during the year now onwards. Mrs Shabnam Singh mother of Yuvraj Singh and a trustee of YOUWECAN was present on the occasion. Spl CP/Ops and  Spokesperson Delhi Police Sh Dependra Pathak was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

YOUWECAN a NGO organises awareness programmes in schools, colleges and colonies. They also organise free health check-up camps. To start with, the breast cancer screening was done on 200 women police personnel of PCR unit. Breast cancer screening was conducted with US made I-Breast Examination device. This device is painless and radiation free screening tool for breast cancer. The device has high rates of sensitivity and specificity. The device is able to detect even non palpable lesions. The staff attending the medical camp were made aware and given medical advice regarding all issues pertaining to breast cancer and gynaecological issues.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas. Naveen @ Khati gang is a desperate gang having rivalry with Manjeet Mahal/ Ravinder @ Bholu gang. They are splinter group of Anoop/Balraj gang which had rivalry with Krishan Pehlwan gang. HE ALLEGEDELY OPERATED INSIDE THE JAIL CARRYING REWARD OF Rs. 20,000/- District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg.
