DESPERATE CRIMINAL SATBIR RANA @ SATPAL @ SATTE ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH

  • THE ACCUSED HAD BEEN INDULGING IN LURING AND RECRUITING DRUG ADDICT YOUTHS OF THE AREA IN HIS GANG BY PROVIDING THEM ARMS AND DRUGS FREELY.

INTRODUCTION: -
Crime Branch has arrested a desperate criminal Satbir Rana @ Satpal @ Satte (aged 30 years) s/o Hukum Singh r/o RZ-49, S Block, New Roshanpura, Najafgarh, Delhi from Najafgarh area and recovered two pistols with seven live cartridges along with cash Rs. 2.04 Lakhs from his possession. The accused is an active member of desperate ‘Naveen Khati Gang’ of Najafgarh and is a Bad Character of South-West District. He is involved in 7 criminal cases of attempt to murder, arms act, excise act etc.. Naveen Khati Gang is a rival gang of Manjeet Mahal gang and most of the gang members are presently lodged in jail and the accused Satbir Rana had been pursuing the trials of the cases of his gang members and luring youths in the locality to join Khati Gang.  
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
On 17.03.2017, a secret information was received by ASI Suresh Kumar posted in SWR, Crime Branch that a desperate criminal and member of Naveen Khati Gang, involved in several criminal cases will visit his house in New Roshanpura, Najafgarh and shall be in possession of illegal weapons which he uses to operate gang activities. This information was further developed and a core team of Crime Branch led by ACP Jasbir Singh and consisting of Insp. Attar Singh, ASIs Suresh Kumar, Santraj Singh, Kartar Singh, Vinod Kumar, Gobind Singh, Bhoop Singh, HCs Dharmender, Ajeet, Rajeev Sahrawat, Ramkumar and Ct. Om Prakash was constituted to nab the criminal under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh. Accordingly, a raid was conducted at the house of the criminal and one sophisticated pistol of 7.65 bore loaded with 5 live cartridges and one country made pistol of .315 bore with 2 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Later on, during his personal search, cash amounting to  Rs. 2.04 lacs were also recovered from him. On this, a case under Arms Act was registered and the accused was arrested in the case.
INTERROGATION & DISCLOSURE
The accused Satbir Rana @ Satpal @ Satte basically belongs to a middle class family of village Bijwasan, Delhi residing in New Roshanpura, Najafgarh since long.
In the year 2008, he was arrested with his childhood friend Naresh @ Titte by PS Najafgarh Police in a case of preparation of dacoity and sent to jail. In jail, he came in contact with desperate gangster Naveen Khati through his friend Naresh Titte and joined his gang, who was lodged in jail at that time in a murder case. During his jail term, he became one of the most faithful aid of gang leader Naveen Khati. After coming out of jail, he started managing the gang activities and remained involved in several cases of attempt to murder, arms act and theft etc.
In the year 2009, he alongwith his gang members Deepak @ Gabri and others stabbed Pradeep Solanki, Bhinda and his brother Billoo of rival group of Manjeet Mahal Gang on the instructions of gang leader Naveen Khati who had been lodged in jail. Accordingly, he was arrested in this case of attempt to murder of PS Najafgarh and remained in jail for about 8/9 months.
After coming out of the jail, the accused Satbir @ Satte again started pairvi of trials of pending cases against Naveen Khati Gang and also remained involved in supplying and distribution of illegal drugs in the area and started recruiting drug addict youths in ‘Naveen Khati Gang’ by providing them smack/heroine etc. freely. During this period, he became one of the most wanted by rival gangs and several attempts were made by rival gangs to eliminate him.                 
In the year 2013, Ravinder @ Bacchi, a desperate criminal of rival group, alongwith his associates stabbed him 13 times with a knife as he was a witness in a sensational murder of a desperate criminal Harish @ Mukhiya of Najafgarh committed by the rival gang. However, in this case, he managed to survive.
After this failed attack, in the year 2014, Monu Chhawalia, Gulshan, Amit Boxer, Ravan, Deepu and Bhagta of Manjeet Mahal gang attacked at the  house of accused Satbir @ Satte and fired several rounds to kill him. In this incident, he sustained several bullet injuries over his chest but he once again managed to survive.
Naveen Khati Gang has been dominating in the Najafgarh area of Delhi since early 2000, while several disputes arose between gang leader Naveen Khati r/o Mitrao and Manjeet Mahal, a gangster of slain gang leaders Anoop & Balraj over supremacy in the Najafgarh area. During this period, several murders were committed by both gangs over many property disputes. The gang leader Naveen Khati was arrested by Crime Branch in the year 2011 alongwith his 8 associates in a sensational double murder case of PS Chhawla and is lodged in Tihar Jail.

Presently, most of the gang members of all gangs including gang leaders of Naveen Khati Gang, Manjeet Mahal Gang and Kapil Sangwan @ Nandu Gang have been arrested by the police and are lodged in jails and the Crime Branch has zeroed in on the activities of budding criminals who are out of jail and are running gang activities on instructions of their gang leaders.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
