THREE GANGSTERS OF ‘NASIR GANG’ ARRESTED

  • GANGSTERS WERE INVOLVED IN THREATENING THE WITNESSES & TAKING PROTECTION MONEY FROM BUSINESSMEN
  • A CASE OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER ALSO WORKED OUT
A team of Inter-State Cell, Crime Branch has succeeded in apprehending three notorious gangsters of ‘NASIR GANG’ namely (1) Saleem @ Aamir s/o Shamshad R/o D-128, first floor, New Seelampur, Delhi, age-25 years, (2) Shahzad @ Aabid s/o AmaluRehman R/o near Chand Masjid, Ikram Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, age-29 and (3) Zakir @ Sonu s/o Mohd. Naushad R/o H. No.J-89, Janta Colony, Welcome, Seelampur, Delhi, age-24 years. They were involved in threatening the witnesses and taking protection money from businessmen. With their arrest, one case of attempt to murder of North-East Delhi has been worked out.3 semi-automatic pistols and 7 live cartridges were recovered from their possessions.


INFORMATION& OPERATION: -

There is an on-going gang rivalry between ‘NASIR’ and ‘CHHAINU’ gangs for domination in the area of trans-Yamuna and old Delhi. Both these gang leaders are presently in jail but still operating their nefarious activities from the jail through their local goons. There was credible information that Nasir, a notorious gangster presently running in jail, is instructing his gang members to threaten the witnesses who were supposed to depose against him and his gang members. Further, it was learnt that these associates of Nasir were involved in taking the protection from the businessmen of trans-Yamuna and old Delhi. Sources were deployed to further develop the information. On 23.03.2017, specific information was received that in pursuance of the direction received from Nasir, his local aide Saleem @ Aamir along with other associates were planning to attack one brothel house owner who had refused to pay protection money to them. Accordingly, a team led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat comprising of Inspr. Sunil Kumar, SI Vijay Samaria, SINeeraj Kumar, ASIs Vaseek, RakeshRawat, Rakesh Tomar, Vijay Pratap, VikramDutt,Vikal,Surender Pal, HCs IeedMohd, Ashok, Sunil Pandey, Pawan, Udai Ram CtsSikanderandShubhashwas constituted under the overall supervision of DCP MadhurVerma. A trap was laid and at about 07:00 PM, at the instance of the informer,three persons who were later identified as(1) Saleem @ Aamir s/o Shamshad R/o D-128, first floor, New Seelampur, Delhi, age-25 years, (2) Shahzad @ Aabid s/o AmaluRehman R/o near Chand Masjid, Ikram Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, age-29 and (3) Zakir @ Sonu s/o Mohd. Naushad R/o H. No. J-89, Janta Colony, Welcome, Seelampur, Delhi, age-24 years were apprehended after a brief scuffle. From their cursory search, 3 semi-automatic pistols and 7 live cartridges were recovered.A case under appropriate section has been registered against them.
On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that they were active members of ‘NASIR’ gang and they had assembled to execute their planning of attacking a brothel house owner of old Delhi. They had disclosed that the recovered weapons were provided to them by one Azeem (close associates of Nasir and presently lodged in Tihar jail) to carry out their illegal activities. In the first week of February-2017, accused Saleem @ Aamir along with his other associates had assaulted and had fired indiscriminately on Saurav and Rakesh (local residents of Welcome, Delhi) who had objected to their illegal activities. A case FIR No. 59/17 u/s 307/323/506/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS-Welcome in this regard. Accused Saleem @ Aamir was evading his arrest in this case.  


PROFILE: -

(1) Saleem @ Aamir s/o Shamshad R/o D-128, first floor, New Seelampur, Delhi, age-25 years has studied upto 10th class. He is unmarried. His family is engaged in tailoring. About 2 years back, he came in contact with Nasir gang through one Azeem. He was earlier arrested in cases of Robbery, Arms Act and Theft by Delhi Police.

(2) Shahzad @ Aabid s/o AmaluRehman R/o near Chand Masjid, Ikram Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, age-29 years, has studied upto 8th class. He is married and has a daughter from the wedlock. He is an auto rickshaw driver and came in contact with Saleem @ Aamir about 5/6 months back.

(3) Zakir @ Sonu s/o Mohd.Naushad R/o H. No. J-89, Janta Colony, Welcome, Seelampur, Delhi, age-24 years has studied utpo 4th class. He is permanent resident of Bijnaur, UP.  His father works in a travel agency. He is unmarried. He is a tailor by profession and known to Saleem @ Aamir since last 2/3 years. He had a long criminal history and has been arrested in cases of Robbery, Theft, Arms act etc. in various police stations.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
