3 ARRESTED FOR CARRYING ILLEGAL ARMS

  • RECOVERED 2 SOPHISTICATED PISTOLS OF 7.65 CALIBRE ALONGWITH 4 LIVE CARTRIDGES AND 1 COUNTRY MADE PISTOL (DESI KATTA) OF .315 BORE ALONGWITH ONE LIVE CARTRIDGE

Crime Branch has arrested (i) Shekhar Lochabh (21 yrs) s/o Dharamvir r/o VPO Bupnia, PS Sadar Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana, (ii) Amarjit @ Bholu (21 yrs) s/o Atre Singh r/o VPO Bupnia, PS Sadar Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Haryana and (iii) Meharban @ Sunny (21 yrs) s/o Tarikul Rahmani r/o G-232, Gali No.7, Prem Nagar-III, Kirari, Delhi and recovered 2 sophisticated pistols of 7.65 calibres alongwith 4 live cartridges and 1 desi katta of .315 bore alongwith 1 live cartridge from their possessions.
TEAM & INCIDENTS: -
In the light of sudden spate of firing incidents in the areas of Rohini, Outer and South-West Districts, a team of officers of Crime Branch led by ACP Shweta Chauhan, consisting of Insp. Puran Pant, SIs Karan Singh, Ajit Singh, ASIs Surender, Bijender Singh, Narender, HCs Parveen, Virender Kumar, Vijay, Cts Parveen, Parminder Singh, Ankush and Sonu was constituted under the supervision of DCP Dr. G. Ramgopal Naik and under overall guidance of Addl. CP K.K. Vyas to identify the persons involved and also to put all efforts for recoveries of illegal weapons. The team constituted collected information through all possible sources.
Finally, on 25.02.2017, the team received some specific information that some boys armed with sophisticated illicit weapons would come to Budh Vihar area for committing robbery. On this information, the team immediately swung into action, reached near the place of information i.e. near Ganda Nala, Old Police Post, Budh Vihar, Delhi and a trap was laid. A silver colour Swift car No.DL 9CM 2577 reached there and 3 boys got down from the car, looking for their other accomplices to commit some robbery. The team surrounded all of them and nabbed them promptly. On conducting their cursory search, one sophisticated pistol of 7.65 calibre alongwith 2 live cartridges each were recovered from the possession of Shekhar and Meharban @ Sunny. One loaded desi katta of .315 bore was recovered from Amarjit @ Bholu. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.24/17 dated 26.02.17 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Crime Branch, Delhi.
PROFILE: -

  1. Shekhar Lochabh is unmarried and having one brother and one sister. He has studied upto 12th standard. His father expired when he was a child. Previously, he has been arrested in 03 cases of loot, murder and Arms Act. After remaining in jail for many years, he came out of jail about 10 months ago. While he was lodged in Bhondsi jail, he came into close contact of notorious criminals Shrawan Damkan Kheria and Nitu Dabodia. Inside the jail, to prove their supremacy, he alongwith Shrawan and others brutally murdered one Monu r/o Bhiwani, Haryana of the notorious Kushal Pal gang in 2014. On release from jail, he searched for boys to create an active outfit of Shrawan gang to extort money from persons involved in illegal satta in the area of Outer Delhi as such people do not come forward to lodge complaints.  
  2. Amarjit @ Bholu is unmarried and having two sisters. He has studied upto 9th standard. His father expired when he was a child. His mother is working with a co-operative Bank at their native village. Previously, he was arrested in 04 cases of loot, attempt to murder and Arms Act. About 20 days back, he was released on bail.
  3. Meharban @ Sunny is married and having one younger brother. He has studied upto 12th standard. His father is working as a labourer in a printing press. He runs a small meat shop at Mangol Puri, Delhi.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. There is a long history of gang war in Najafgarh and adjoining areas.
