STALKER MOBILE PHONE SHOPKEEPER ARRESTED FOR SENDING MORPHED OBSCENE PICTURES TO GIRLS THROUGH ‘WHATSAPP’ AND ‘FACEBOOK’ MESSENGER

With the arrest of one person namely Rajesh Gambhir, 29 years S/o Late Sh. Kasturi Lal R/o Basant Nagar, Kishan Ganj, Delhi, staff of PS Ashok Vihar, North West District has brought a big relief for more than 50 girls about to be in the age group of 9-16 years being tormented by the accused who used to send their morphed objectionable pictures and vulgar, abusive messages through “WhatsApp” and “Facebook”.


INCIDENT : Brief facts of the matter are that on 22.09.2016 one complainant of Ashok Vihar area had lodged a complaint that some unknown person had sent morphed obscene pictures to her daughter on her mobile phone through Whatsapp. She had also provided the images of morphed objectionable pictures which are having the face of her daughter, who has been studying in 9th class in a reputed school. On the basis of her complaint, a case vide under section 354A/354D/506/509 IPC & 67/67A IT Act was registered at Police Station Ashok Vihar and taken up for investigation.

TEAM: In view of the gravity of the matter, a team comprising of Inspr. R.K Maan, SI Sandeep Kumar,  SI Naveen Kumar, HC Vinay Kumar, Ct. Neeraj, Ct. Mahesh headed by Inspr.Virender Kadyan SHO/Ashok Vihar under the supervision of Sh. Vikas Kumar IPS, ACP/Ashok Vihar was constituted for tracing the suspect.
INVESTIGATION: During investigation of the case, the technical surveillance of the suspects mobile phone was conducted and it revealed that the accused had procured the SIM number on the basis of fake identity.  After putting lot of sustained efforts, the police team succeeded in tracing the accused as Rajesh Gambir.  The team conducted raid at his house and nabbed him.  Accused Rajesh Gambir was found to be running a mobile phone shop from his residence. Three mobiles phones and the SIM card, which were used in the commission of offence of this case, had been recovered at his instance.
During the analysis of data of recovered from his mobile phones, the morphed pictures of the complainant’s daughter as well as morphed pictures of other victim girls were found in his mobile phone.  He was arrested accordingly.  During interrogation, the accused disclosed that that he used to surf the profile pictures on facebook by putting any female name randomly and save those profile pictures.  Later, he used to add the faces of such girls on objectionable obscene female images through cut and paste application from his mobile phone. Further he used to chat with them and threatened them for consequences if they do not acceded to his demands.
He also disclosed that he procured ‘cut and paste’ application in his mobile phone from Google play store through which he could paste the faces/pictures of anyone on the pictures of other persons. During the scrutiny of his mobile phone data, morphed objectionable pictures of many girls are found in the mobile and  it has been revealed further that he had blocked approximately 40 mobile numbers which seem to be the numbers of  the parents of the victim girls.  Besides this, his mobile phone has been found containing the details of more than 50 girls. It has also been revealed that he had been selling SIM cards of different companies from his shop and he used the identity documents of his customers for procuring SIM cards numbers for using the same in the commission of such offences.
