FOILED MURDER PLAN OF HIGHWAY ROBBERS

  • 3 HARDENED CRIMINALS INCLUDING ONE PAROLE JUMPER IN KIDNAPPING-CUM-RAPE CASE ARRESTED.
  • ONE COUNTRY MADE PISTOL AND 05 LIVE CARTRIDGES OF .32 BORE RECOVERED.
  • RECOVERED ONE ROBBED CAR WHICH WAS USED TO COMMIT HIGHWAY ROBBERY.
  • 8 CASES OF ROBBERY WORKED OUT.

Crime Branch has arrested three notorious/desperate highway robbers (i) Ankit @ Gullu (23 yrs) s/o late Daya Nand r/o H.No.97, Mandir Wali Gali Village Bakoli, Alipur, Delhi, (ii) Chand @ Rahul @ Kala (30 yrs) s/o Kartar Singh r/o Village Matan, PS Bahadurgarh, Distt-Jhajjar, Haryana and (iii) Amit @ Kanhaiya s/o Gopal Rai (22 yrs) r/o Village Bakoli, Alipur, Delhi.
They are involved in a sensational robbery case of Delhi in which a car was robbed on gunpoint at the most busy road in Dwarka, after hiring the said car from Samaipur Badli. Other sensational cases of similar nature of robberies of Outer and North West Distt. also worked out. The trio has disclosed to have committed more than 7 other cases of similar nature. The trio were apprehended armed with a sophisticated country made pistol alongwith five live cartridges  alongwith a robbed WagonR car, in which they were proceeding to commit murder of a target in Village Begumpur, Hauzkhas, Delhi in an ongoing property dispute.
TEAM & INCIDENT: -
For apprehension of wanted hardcore criminals involved in sensational and heinous cases of Delhi & NCR, a team of officers of Crime Branch led by ACP Shweta Singh Chauhan, consisting of Inspr Satish Kumar, ASIs Baljeet Singh, Shailender Singh, HCs Parveen, Devdutt, Ravinder, Ajay, Anand Pal, Cts Ravi Khari, Praveen, Mahesh, Deepak Malik and Azad Singh was constituted under the close supervision of DCP Dr. Ram Gopal Naik and under overall guidance of Addl.CP K.K.Vyas to make all possible efforts to establish their hideouts and to nab them.  
The team so constituted, collected information through all possible sources and started tracking one notorious gang of criminals namely Ankit & Chand gang. For their apprehension, suspected hideouts in Delhi & NCR were raided and on some of the occasions they narrowly escaped. However, police officials kept on tracking their movements regularly.
Finally, on 21.09.16, the team received a specific input/information that Chand gang associates would go to Badli via Shalimar Bagh, Max Hospital to commit some serious crime. On this information, the team immediately swung into action and laid a trap near the place of information. At designated place and time, one white WagonR came from Shalimar Bagh Village. The car was constrained to stop by obstructing it by another car. After sensing trouble, the three occupants of the car tried to flee away, but they were swiftly overpowered by the team with loaded country made pistol of .32 bore with 5 live cartridges. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 164/16 dated 21.09.2016 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act r/w 411 IPC, PS Crime Branch, Delhi was got registered and investigation was taken up.
INTERROGATION: -
On sustained interrogation, Ankit, Chand & Amit disclosed to have committed several sensational robberies. They further disclosed that they were going to commit murder of maternal uncle of Ankit as a dispute is going between Ankit and his maternal uncle Bhag Singh in respect of a property which is situated in village Begumpur, South Delhi. For this purpose, they had robbed a WagonR car, which was hired from Samaipur Badli area. Ankit had arranged a pistol from Gulshan Bhardwaj @ Gullu r/o Alipur, who is the close associate of Jitender @ Gogi.
One of the accused Chand @ Rahul disclosed that he is convicted in a case of kidnapping vide FIR No.70/11 PS Baba Haridas Nagar and was jumping parole for the last two months. That they had committed several robberies in the areas of Outer and North West Distt. pertaining to cash, mobile phone, bag, bike etc.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED: -
1) Ankit @ Gullu is married and has five brothers. He has studied upto 12th standard. He is the youngest one in the family. His father and mother had expired way back. He is previously arrested in 3 cases of robbery, hurt etc.

2)   Chand @ Rahul @ Kala is unmarried, having four brothers and one sister. He is previously involved in six criminal cases including one case of kidnapping and rape of PS Baba Haridas Nagar in which he was convicted for seven years and jumped parole. He met Ankit in jail.

He was initially doing job in factories and later on came in contact with Ankit. Previous involvement is yet to be verified.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. HE ALLEGEDELY OPERATED INSIDE THE JAIL CARRYING REWARD OF Rs. 20,000/- District Anti Robbery Cell, NWD has nabbed a desperate extortionist namely Harsimran @ Badal @ Simran s/o Harvinder Singh r/o BK-1/103-A, East Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, who is gang leader of Harsimran @ Badal Gang and carrying reward of Rs. 20000/-. He is a dreaded criminal of PS Shalimar Bagh and is involved in total 15 cases including two murders at PS Burari & Mandir Marg.
