Accused wanted in murder case and was absconding since 2014 arrested

The police team of STF, South District has arrested accused Ram Babu, age 40 years s/o Ramkirit Sah R/o Masoodpur Dairy No. 75, Vasant Kunj, Delhi who was wanted in a murder case and was absconding since 2014.

Brief facts: On 25/02/14, dead body of a male person was found in a sewer at Vasant Vatika DDA Park, C-2 Vasant Kunj. The body was in highly decomposed condition and injury marks were present on the neck and right side of abdomen of the body.  During enquiry the body was identified by one Pratap S/o Pillu Ram R/o Jhuggi No. C-8/8107, Rangpuri Pahari, Vasant Kunj, Delhi as his brother Kartar Singh R/o Jhuggi No. 285, Rangpuri Pahari, Vasant Kunj, Delhi whose missing was reported at PS Vasant Kunj North on 15/2/14 by her wife Kiran. On the statement of Sh. Pratap, a case vide FIR No. 182/14 dated 25/2/14 u/s 302/201 IPC was registered at PS Vasant Kunj North.  The complainant showed suspicion on one Rambabu R/o Mahipalpur and alleged that Rambabu has extra-marital affair with his brother’s wife Kiran and on 12/2/14, hot argument took place between Kartar and Rambabu at Kartar’s shop on this issue.

Investigation :

          During investigation, Kiran and her sister were arrested and interrogated who disclosed their involvement in commission of crime. Both disclosed that they alongwith Rambabu hatched a conspiracy and eliminated Kartar. After murder, they wrapped his body in newspapers and bed sheets, stuffed it in a bag, took the dead body in Rambabu’s auto and dumped it in the sewer about 5 kms away from their house.  Efforts were made to arrest Rambabu but he absconded.

          On 29/09/16, SI Proshun got input that accused Rambabu, wanted in murder case of Kartar Singh of PS Vasant Kunj North would come at Israil Camp Choupal, Rangpuri Pahari to meet his known. A team of STF, South District consisting of SI Proshun, Cts. Satish, Anil and Sandeep under the leadership of Inspr. Vijay Singh Chandel, I/C Special Task Force, South District was formed and laid a trap in the evening at the spot and arrested accused Rambabu.   
         

Interrogation:

            During interrogation, accused Rambabu disclosed that he is an auto driver. In the year 2013, he came in contact with one Celina Toppo and later on with her sister Kiran, wife of deceased Kartar Singh. Slowly, he developed intimacy with Kiran and Celina. Kartar came to know about this affair. Kartar tried to stop his wife and sister-in-law. Karter had heated arguments with Rambabu on this issue. All three of them, Rambabu, Kiran and Celina were tied of Kartar’s interference and conspired to kill Kartar. On 14/2/14 Celina called Kartar at his place. They had a drinking session. Thereafter when Kartar slept, Celina slit his throat with a meat cleaver. Thereafter After murder they wrapped his body in newspapers and bed sheets, stuffed it in a bag, took the dead body in Rambabu’s auto and dumped it in the sewer at Vasant Vatika DDA Park, C-2 Vasant Kunj.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp.
