SENSATIONAL KIDNAPPING AND MURDER CASE OF A YOUNG MAN IN THE AREA OF PS MANGOL PURI WORKED OUT

  • SUSPICION OF EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIR LED TO THE MURDER.  FOUR PERSONS INCLUDING FORMER BROTHER-IN-LAW AND PRESENT HUSBAND ARRESTED.
  • HEAD OF DECEASED RECOVERED.
  • VEHICLE USED IN THE CRIME ALSO RECOVERED.
On 25/08/16, Complainant Ashok Kumar reported regarding missing of his elder son Rohit aged 25 yrs, since 7.30 pm on 18/8/16.  A missing report was lodged and investigation started and all the steps were taken but there was no clue about the missing person Rohit. On 6/9/16, Ashok Kumar during enquiry reported that his missing son Rohit had married one Priyanka (name changed) in 2013 but the marriage did not work out and Rohit and his wife Priyanka mutually divorced in 2015. In April 2016, Priyanka married one Mukesh. But after marriage, Priyanka started meeting Rohit again which angered Mukesh and Priyanka’s brother Anand (juvenile, name changed). Complainant suspected the role of Mukesh and Anand in the disappearance of his son Rohit. Accordingly on the statement of Sh. Ashok Kumar, a case was registered under appropriate sections and investigation taken up.
A team was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Umesh Singh ACP/Rohini, and led by Inspector Arvind Kumar SHO/Mangolpuri, comprising of SI Kamlesh Kumar, I/C SGM Hospital, HC Laxman, HC Prem Kumar, HC Navrang, Ct. Dharamvir and Ct. Virender, and pressed into the investigation of the case in view of the sensitivity of the offence. During the course of investigation, the suspects Mukesh and Anand (juvenile, name changed) were immediately rounded up and were subjected to intensive interrogation. During interrogation, Mukesh and Anand confessed to having committed murder of Rohit along with their associates Vijay @ Golu and Ashraf (juvenile, name changed). Immediately, Vijay @ Golu and Ashraf were also apprehended.

During interrogation, it was disclosed by accused persons that Mukesh is working as driver in Cab Company at Gurgaon and living on rent in Mangolpuri area. He married Priyanka (name changed) in April 2016. After marriage, he was told by his landlord and others that his wife was meeting her ex-husband regularly. Mukesh objected to it and also confronted his wife, but she refused to listen. Mukesh and her brother-in-law Anand(name changed) hatched a plan to get rid of Rohit. Anand (name changed) involved his friends Ashraf(name changed) and Vijay @ Golu in it. Mukesh purchased a knife and iron-cutting blade and a bottle of thinner. On 19/8/16, Mukesh, Anand, Vijay @ Golu and Ashraf invited Rohit for drinks in the evening. They consumed liquor at Mukesh’s residence and then as per the plan they took Rohit for a long drive in the Mukesh’s employer’s vehicle Innova No. DL-1VB-7238. During the journey, they consumed more liquor and reached Dwarka-Gurgaon Expressway area. On an isolated stretch of road, Mukesh stopped the vehicle and they all stepped out for getting fresh. When Rohit stepped out, he was choked from behind by Vijay @ Golu due to which Rohit became unconscious. Anand and Ashraf caught Rohit’s legs, Vijay @ Golu and Mukesh beheaded Rohit. Then they threw the body of Rohit in a pit on the road-side, Mukesh poured the oil/thinner, brought by him and burnt it. They put severed head of Rohit in a polythene bag and reached Dwarka area. They buried the head of Rohit in a Park in Sector-20, Dwarka.

During the course of investigation, on the basis of disclosure statement and at the instance of accused persons, the severed head of deceased Rohit was recovered from a park in Sector- 20 Dwarka, opposite CNG Station of Sector-9, Dwarka, Delhi. Accused persons then led the police party to Dwarka-Gurgaon Expressway area and pointed out the place of crime on an isolated road where they had killed Rohit and severed his head. During investigation, concerned Police Station Rajendra Park, Gurgaon(HR) was contacted and it was learnt that one case vide FIR No. 355/16 dated 20/8/16 u/s 302/201 IPC had been registered at PS Rajendra Park, Gurgaon (HR).
