3 DRUG TRAFFICKERS ARRESTED IN TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS.

  • 200 GM AND 1 KG OF FINE QUALITY HEROIN (SMACK) RECOVERED.
  • VALUE OF RECOVERED DRUGS IS WORTH RS. 3 LAC AND RS.1 CRORE RESPECTIVELY IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET.
  • ARRESTED PERSONS CARRIED HEROIN (SMACK) FROM BAREILLY (UP) FOR SUPPLY IN DELHI AND NCR.
  Crime Branch has busted an interstate gang of drug peddlers with the arrest of three persons (i) Javed Ahmed (28 yrs) s/o Ahmed Nabi r/o Village & Post Meerganj, PS Meerganj, District Bareilly, UP, (ii) Vinod Kumar (30 yrs) s/o Ram Faran r/o House of Ranjeet Singh Prajapat, Patthar Market, Mangolpur Kalan, Delhi, Permanent Address: Vill. Godahri, PO Rampur Paida, District Sarai Basti, and (iii) Manoj @ Vicky (28 yrs) s/o Babu Lal r/o H.No.129, Block-C-6, Sultan Puri, Delhi and recovered 200 gm and 1Kg of fine quality heroin (smack) from their possession in two separate incidents.
    1. In first incident, an information was received by SI Rajnikant on 29/08/2016 that one Javed r/o Meerganj, Bareilly, UP, is indulged in supply of heroin in Delhi after procuring it from Bareilly. The information further entailed that he would come at Service road, Opposite Anand Vihar Railway Station, Delhi between 06:00 PM to 06:30 PM, for supplying huge consignment of heroin to someone.
On the basis of this information, a team of officers of the Crime Branch led by ACP Sanjeev Kumar Tyagi, consisting of Insp. Vijender Singh, SI Rajnikant, HCs Vikas, Ismail and Ct. Shani Kumar was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajan Bhagat and under overall supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas to nab him. A trap was laid near Service Road, Opposite Anand Vihar Railway Station, Delhi by the team and one person namely Javed Ahmed was apprehended at the instance of informer. During cursory search of Javed Ahmed, 200 gm heroin was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No.150/16 dated 29/08/16, u/s 21 NDPS Act was registered at PS Crime Branch.
Javed Ahmed was born at Village Jaunaid, PS Meerganj, Bareilly, UP. His father use to work as a farm labourer. He has four brothers and three sisters. About 10/12 years ago, he came to Jaffrabad, Delhi and started working in ladies chappal making factory, run by his village man Kayum. He learnt the work and 4 years ago established his own chappal making factory at Pyarelal Road, Karol Bagh, Delhi. About 6 months ago, he incurred loss in business and closed his factory.
Thereafter, he came in contact with Salman of Meerganj, Bareilly, who offered him to work for him to supply heroin. He was facing financial problem, therefore, agreed for the proposal and started supplying heroin in Delhi after procuring from one Salman of Meerganj, Bareilly, UP. One week ago, he had supplied 50 gm heroin in Seelam Pur, Delhi. On 29/8/16, he came to Service Road, Opposite Anand Vihar Railway Station, Delhi for supplying 200 gm heroin to Mulla Ji and was apprehended.
    1. In the second incident, an information was received by SI Manoj Kumar on 30/08/2016 that one  Vinod Kumar, who is resident of Mangol Pur Kalan, Delhi, alongwith his associate Manoj @ Vicky are indulged in supply of heroin in Delhi by bus after procuring it from Bareilly. The information further entailed that Vinod would come on Ring Road near Mangolpuri Flyover to deliver the heroin to Manoj, who used to supply heroin in Mangol Pur and Sultanpuri Area.
On the basis of this information, a team of officers led by ACP Sanjeev Kumar Tyagi, consisting of Inspr. Vijender Singh, SI Manoj Kumar, HCs Om Prakash, Jitender, Subodh, Cts Ankush and Jitender was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajan Bhagat and under overall supervision of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas. A trap was laid near Mangol Puri Flyover, Ring Road, and two persons Vinod Kumar and Manoj @ Vicky were apprehended at about 7:00 PM. During cursory search of Vinod Kumar and Manoj @ Vicky, 300 gm and 700 gm heroin were recovered from their possession respectively. A case vide FIR No.153/16 dated 31.08.2016 u/s 21/29 of NDPS Act was registered at PS Crime Branch.   

  1. Manoj @ Vicky has one brother and one sister. He is an 8th class dropout and due to poverty, he could not pursue his studies. After dropping his studies, he started working at a shop of Radio Antenna. However, one year later, he left this job and started working at Om Murti Bhandar at Mangol Pur Kalan, New Delhi. He came in contact with Bhai Jaan, who is resident of Bareilly and a supplier of heroin and indulged in supply of drugs.
  2. Vinod Kumar was born on 1986 at Vill. Godauri, Distt. Sarai Basti (UP) in a poor Passi family. His father is very small farmer and a daily wager. He has two brothers and four sisters. He is a 4th class dropout and had left his village at the age of 9-10 years and came to Delhi with his elder brother namely Sandeep. He started working as a mess boy at Sadhu Samaj Kendra, Malcha Marg, Delhi. He also worked as a helper with a DJ Company for 7-8 years at Geeta Colony, Delhi. After quitting his job, he came to Mangol Pur Kalan Village and started pulling Rickshaw in Mangol Pur area. He is also a drug addict. He used to purchase drugs from Manoj @ Vicky. He was sent to Bareilly by Manoj Kumar @ Vicky to procure drugs from one Bhai Jaan of Bareilly (UP).

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
