WITH THE ARREST OF PRAMOD AND 5 OTHERS ENTIRE “DHOL BAAZ” GANG PUT BEHIND BARS

  • THEY USED TO LURE RAILWAY PASSENGERS INTO CHEAP AUTO RIDE BEFORE ESCAPING WITH THEIR LUGGAGE.
  • WANTED IN SEVERAL CASES WITH SAME MODUS OPERANDI IN AND AROUND NIZAMUDDIN RAILWAY STATION.
  • THE GANG USED TO STRIKE ALMOST DAILY BUT THE INCIDENTS WENT UNREPORTED AS THE VICTIMS BEING TRAVELLERS.
  • THE AUTO AND THE CAR USED IN THE CRIME RECOVERED.
Crime Branch has arrested Pramod s/o Motilal @ Mohar Singh r/o H.No. 1052, Gali No.2, Sangam Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP, the leader of “Dhol Baaz” Gang operating in Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station area, alongwith five other  accused, which includes the receiver of the jewellery articles, the  details of whom are as under:
  1. Devender (34 yrs) s/o Bhagwandas r/o H.No. F-223, Gali No. 8, Ram Park Extension, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP.
  2. Mashkoor @ Babloo (34 yrs) s/o Makshood Azad r/o Vill. Makshudhanpur Hafiz, Dist. Bijnoor, PS. Sehar Kotwali, UP.
  3. Vicky Choudhary (32 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o H.No. 3, Shantiniketan Wali Gali, Shanti Nagar Indira Puri, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP.
  4. Rajan Aggarwal (38 yrs) s/o Late Sh. Radhey Shyam Aggarwal r/o Near Lakshya Ratna Public School, Vikas Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP.
  5. Kuldeep Soni (42 yrs) s/o Late Sh. Omprakash r/o Nale Wala Road, Sangam Vihar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP.

INCIDENTS: - Inputs were received that several gangs are operating in Railway Stations of Delhi, who lure the passengers in one way or the other and thereafter escape with their belongings.
While working on this input, an information was received by HCs Moolchand and Praveen that one such gang led by Pramod, operating  in Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, would be coming to the bus stop near Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.  It was also revealed that on 21/10/2016, the gang had duped a lady of jewellery articles worth Rs. 5 lakhs and cash.  The modus operandi of the gang was that Devender while driving the auto rickshaw with Mashkoor and Vicky Choudhary as passengers approached the lady, who was looking for  an auto.  They told her that since they were also going to the same destination, they would charge only one third of the total fare.  As soon as she sat in the auto, another member of the gang stopped the auto by waving his hand, entered the auto as a passenger and sat in such a manner which disrupted the complete view of the lady. The persons sitting with the lady then opened her bag with their instruments and escaped with all her jewellery and cash lying in the bag.  By the time the lady realized the situation and shouted for help, the auto driver had escaped with the auto.
TEAM & OPERATION: -
This incident and information was shared with Inspr. Ashish Kumar Dubey, who informed the senior officers and immediately a team led by ACP Sandeep Lamba, consisting of Inspr. Ashish Kumar, SI Vipin, ASIs Ajeet Kumar, Jitender Kumar, Joginder Singh, HCs Rakesh, Rajeev, Praveen Tomar, Praveen Kumar, Sudhir Kumar, Mool Chand, Cts Karnal Yadav, Nishant and Praveen Tusheer under the supervision of DCP Rajesh Deo and under overall guidance of Addl.CP K.K. Vyas was constituted and a trap was laid. Soon after receiving the signal from the informer, three persons sitting in the auto bearing registration No. DL1RQ 4007 were apprehended and at their instance, gang leader Parmod and other associate Rajan were also apprehended.  The car and the auto used in the commission of this offence were recovered from their possession.
On sustained interrogation, Pramod revealed that he used to sell jewellery articles to one Kuldeep Soni and the jewellery articles in the present incident were also sold to him for Rs.2,50,000/-. Kuldeep Soni was also apprehended, who on interrogation stated that he melted all the jewellery articles and sold it to someone.  All the six accused persons were arrested u/s 41.1 CrPC.

  1. FIR No.308/16 dated 21/10/16 u/s 379/34 IPC, PS Hazarat Nizamuddin, Delhi.
  2. FIR No.450/16 dated 26/09/16 u/s 379/34 IPC, PS Hazarat Nizamuddin, Delhi.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru.
