Illegal fire arms trafficker apprehended - 27 high quality illegal pistols recovered

A Team of Special Cell (New Delhi Range) led by ACP Govind Sharma, Insp. Sanjay Gupta and Insp. Rajesh Kumar has apprehended an illegal fire arms trafficker, namely Ram Singh, age 50 years S/o Sh. Ganesh R/o Village Signoore PS Gogava, District Khargone, Madhya Pradesh (MP) and recovered 27 high quality illegal pistols from his possession. A Case vide FIR No 68 dt. 10/12/16 u/s 25 Arms Acts has been registered.
Operation
In the ongoing process of neutralising the supply of illicit arms to Delhi and NCR region, Special Cell of Delhi Police has apprehended several arms traffickers in the past. On 10/12/2016, information was received that an Inter-State gang involved in supply of illegal pistols to criminals based in Delhi, Haryana and UP shall be coming to deliver a consignment to a receiver on NH 24 near Akshardham Sethu, Delhi. Immediately, a Special Cell team comprising of Inspector Sanjay Gupta, SI Amrik Singh, HC Sanjeev, HC Surender, Ct. Ravi and Ct Sunil was formed to apprehend the people involved in this deal.
The Arrest
In the evening of 10/12/2016, the aforesaid trafficker Ram Singh was spotted near Akshardham Sethu, Delhi on NH-24 along with a bag. After proper identification by the source, the Special Cell team immediately apprehended accused Ram Singh. On interrogation, he disclosed that he had come to deliver illegal pistols which were concealed in a bag neatly wrapped in polythene. On checking, the bag was found containing 27 illegal high quality pistols.
Profile of Ram Singh
Accused Ram Singh has studied up to 6th class and works as a casual labourer.  He had come to supply arms in Delhi NCR on earlier occasion too. He has been arrested in an arms act case of PS Gogava, Khargone, MP, and was convicted in the same.
Further investigation is in progress. Efforts to find out his associates in Delhi/NCR and MP are underway.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
