SENSATIONAL CAR ROBBERY CASE WORKED OUT IN 45 MINUTES IN SWIFT POLICE ACTION

  • ONE SCHOOL DROPOUT ROBBER ARRESTED AND ONE ROBBED CAR RECOVERED.
With the arrest of one robber namely Harvinder Singh @ Gullu S/O Sri Surender Singh, R/O Jahangirpuri, Delhi, aged 19 years the team of PS Burari has worked out a sensational case of car robbery merely in 45 minutes. Robbed car No. HR-55QT-7222 has also been recovered from his possession.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
On 27.12.2016, a PCR call was received by SI Yogender Kumar of PS Burari that one car No. HR-55QT-7222 has been robbed by four unknown persons. On receiving this PCR Call, SI Yogender reached at place of occurrence alongwith SI Vikas Malik, HC Mohan Lal and Ct. Om Singh where they met the complainant Mohar Singh and FIR No. 627/2016 u/s 394/34 IPC PS Burari was registered on his complaint. During investigation, SI Yogender developed intelligence and received concrete information about criminals and the robbed vehicle. On receipt of this information SI Yogender alongwith his team reached at Jahangirpuri, where the robbed vehicle was located and it was found that two persons were sitting in the vehicle. Both the persons were challenged by police team. On this both the persons started running. They were chased by the police team in narrow street about one kilometer and finally one person identified as Harvinder Singh @ Gullu was apprehend  and looted TATA Sumo was recovered from his possession. On checking it was found that alleged person has already removed battery, music system, mobile phone and documents of the looted vehicle.
INTERROGATION:
During sustained interrogation, accused Harvinder @ Gullu disclosed that he earns his livelihood by driving Champion for carrying passengers from Jahangir Puri to Bhalswa.  He came in the contact with one Sonu R/O Jahangir Puri who was previously involved in many incidents of robbery and car jacking.  On 27.12.16 at around 10.30 PM the above said accused along with Sonu, Bhayya and Sumit were searching their target at Ring Road Burari and when they reached near Burari flyover they saw one TATA Sumo was parked on the road side. They overpowered the driver/complainant Mohar Singh and robbed his TATA Sumo and threw him out of the vehicle.  
PROFILE OF ACCUSED

Accused Harvinder Singh was born in 01-01-1998 at Jahangirpuri, Delhi and had studied upto 7th class at Govt. School, Jahangirpuri, Delhi. He is school dropped out. He is a driver by profession. He has one brother and two sisters. He wants to earn more and more money quickly to meet his personal needs. He fell in bad company and started committing robbery.

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
