MASTERMIND OF SENSATIONAL MUNIRKA TWIN MURDERS HELD

  • MISSING HEAD OF ONE OF THE VICTIMS RECOVERED

In continuation of the previous Press Release dated 10/12/16 regarding the twin brutal murders of women, residents of Munirka in the area of PS Vasant Vihar registered vides FIR No 1010/2016 U/s 302/201 IPC and FIR No 1020/2016 U/s 302/201 IPC, the staff of PS Vasant Vihar has arrested the prime accused Arjun Thapa and has recovered the missing head of one of his twin victims.
It might be reminded that with the arrests of accused Jeevan and Mini Sangam @ Neha, both the brutal murders were worked out but as narrated by the arrested accused and corroborated by circumstances, the main accused Arjun along with an associate namely Govind had absconded. With painstaking efforts and great perseverance, accused Arjun Thapa @ Arjun, s/o Late Ganesh Thapa, aged 32 yrs, originally resident of Nepal and temporarily residing in Munirka has been arrested by a team of PS Vasant Vihar comprising of Inspectors Sukhdev Singh Mann and Anand Prakash under the supervision of Sh. K.P. Kukrety, ACP/ Vasant Vihar on 18/12/2016 in late evening hours from Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
Operation: The interrogations of arrested accused Jeevan and Mini Sangam @ Neha had revealed that Arjun had several bases, not only in Delhi but in several other States where he had associates and facilitators. As last reported, the cell locations of some of the numbers being then used by Arjun, was found to be near an International Border which gave the impression that he might have left India. However, the sustained interrogation of Mini Sangam @ Neha had revealed that while leaving Delhi, Arjun had made categorical plans to return soon and to move to a South Indian location from where he could carry out his spa related facilitation services.
What began was an extensive ground level verification of Arjun’s contacts that further had links to South Indian locations. This exercise was carried out in order to zero-in upon those suspects who could, at a later date, be tapped by Arjun to make his move down South as promised to his lady interest Mini Sangam @ Neha. In the process, several suspect identities of Agra and nearby tourist areas were identified and with diligent deployment of resources, an infiltration was carried out. Soon, the efforts paid fruit when a source informed that most wanted Arjun was in a particular location in Agra. Without wasting time, a special team was dispatched which successfully arrested him from near Waterworks Crossing, Agra and brought him to Delhi.
Recovery: Upon sustained interrogation, Arjun confessed to his crime and consequent to his disclosure, a sewer manhole was opened and on  his pointing out a female skull, with scanty skin cover remaining, was recovered. The same was taken into police custody for onward forensic examination.

Accused Arjun was produced before the concerned Court on 19/12/2016 from where his two days Police Custody remand has been obtained.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp.
