THIRTEEN ARRESTED IN GAMBLING

Rs.3.85 LAKHS CASH RECOVEREDTWO COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS WITH LIVE ROUNDS/CARTRIDGES ALSO RECOVERED FROM PREMISES
The staff of PS Rani Bagh, North West District has busted a gang of gamblers in PS Rani Bagh and the arrested thirteen persons. Rs.3.85 lakh cash & 2 country made pistols with live rounds also recovered.  The raid was conducted in a popular restaurant in Rani Bagh area.

On 24.07.2016 a secret information was received regarding gambling/betting operating in the premises of a popular restaurant in Rani Bagh area.  Acting on a tip off, a dedicated team was constituted under the supervision of Insp Praveen Ahlawat, ATO/Rani Bagh and including SI Jitender, SI Deepak, Const. Ajay, Const Ajay, Const Rampal and Const. K.M More.  The team conducted raid at given the address during the intervening night of 24/25.07.2016.  During the raid 13 persons were found gambling in the premises.  They were all caught red handed alongwith cash amounting to Rs.3.85 lakh.  Apart from this Rs.1.64 lakh was also recovered from the possession of the gamblers during their personal search.  A case vide FIR No.267/16 u/s 3, 4 & 5 Gambling Act was registered in this regard.

The premises of Restaurant were thoroughly searched and coincidently two loaded country made pistols with live rounds/ cartridges were also recovered from the premises of restaurant.  A separate case vide FIR No.268 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act dated 25.07.2016 was also registered and taken up for investigation.

1. Piyush (23 years) R/O Maujpur North East. Delhi is 10th pass.
2. Narayan Singh (46 years) R/O Sultanpuri Delhi is 10th pass.
3. Vikky @ Vikas(30 years)  R/O Sultanpuri Delhi is 9th pass and is previously involved in FIR No.220/09 u/s 324/354/506/34 IPC, PS Sultanpuri.

4. Naresh (35 years) R/O Sultanpuri, Delhi is 10th pass.
5. Mukesh Kumar (30 years) Garg R/O Uttam Nagar Delhi is 10th fail.
6. Anurag (25 years) R/O Uttam Nagar Delhi is a graduate
7. Arshad (28 years) R/O Sultanpuri Delhi is 8th pass.
8. Prem Kumar (34 years) R/O Sultanpuri Delhi is 10th pass.
9. Bunty (40 years) R/O Rajeev Nagar Begampur Delhi is 10th pass.
10. Chandrabhan (22 years) R/O Vijay Vihar, Delhi is 5th pass.
11. Vineet (29 years) R/O Vijay Vihar Phase-II Delhi is 12th pass and previously involved in FIR No. 225/13, u/s 365/34 IPC, PS-Swaroop Nagar.

12. Ravinder Kumar (42 years) R/O East Punjabi Bagh Delhi is 8th pass.

13. Wahid Khan (48 years) R/O Mangolpuri Delhi is 10th pass and is previously involved in FIR No. 618/03, u/s 307/34 IPC, PS-Mangol Puri.

Sagar @ Punter a sharp shooter of Naveen Khati Gang arrested

Two sophisticated pistols alongwith 9 cartridges recovered. A reward of Rs 50,000/- was declared by Delhi Police for his arrest. A team of Special Cell, Northern Range, led by Insp. Sanjay Nagpal, Inspr. Prabhat Kumar & Insp. Pankaj Kumar under the supervision of Shri Pankaj Sood, ACP has arrested sharp shooter of notorious and desperate gangster Naveen @ Khati namely  Sagar @ Punter, alongwith his associate Ravi @ Cheeru. Two pistols alongwith 9 cartridges were recovered from their possession.  A Bullet Motor-Cycle used by gangster has also been seized.
