ONE PERSON INVOLVED IN DRUG TRAFFICKING ARRESTED

1.300 KG OF FINE QUAILTY CHARAS RECOVERED.

PRICE OF RECOVERED DRUGS IS RS.5 LAC APPROX. IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

Crime Branch has busted an interstate gang of drug peddlers with the arrest of one Puran@ Hari @ Hari Bahadur (36 yrs) s/o Man Bahadur r/o H.No.1714, 4th Floor, Gurudwara Road, Kotla Mubark Pur, New Delhi permanant resident of Pokhara, Nepal and recovered 1.3 Kg of fine quality charas from his possession.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: -
On 16.07.2016, an information was received by Inspr. Vijender Singh that Puran@ Hari @ Hari Bahadur, who is presently residing at Kotla Mubark Pur, New Delhi, is indulged in supply of charas in bulk and retail in Delhi. The information further entailed that he would come near Metro Station Race Course, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Road towards Delhi High Court with huge consignment of charas to deliver it to someone.
A team of officers of the Narcotics Cell led by ACP Ranbir Singh Dahiya, consisting of Inspr. Vijender Singh, SI Jai Prakash, Cts. Sandeep Kumar, Yogender Kumar and Ankush was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajan Bhagat to nab him.
Accordingly, a trap was laid at Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam road near Race Course Metro Station and accused Puran@ Hari @ Hari Bahadur was apprehended, who was carrying a black colour cloth bag on his right shoulder. When checked, 1.3 kg charas was recovered from it and a case vide FIR No.127/16 u/s 20 of NDPS Act was got registered at PS Crime Branch in this regard.    
PROFILE: -
Puran @ Hari @ Hari Bahadur is an illiterate. When he was just 12 years old, he left his native place and came to Delhi and started working on Dhabas as waiter. After leaving this job, he started selling Momos in Govindpur area on a rehri but his earning was not enough to fulfil the needs of his family. About 7-8 years back, he came in contact with a person namely Bal Bahadur r/o Pokhara, Nepal, who used to supply charas in Delhi in bulk. Initially, Hari started supplying charas in retail but later dealt in bulk quantity, after procuring it from Bal Bahadur. Efforts are being done to trace Bal Bahadur.
